The president is neck-and-neck with Republican nominee Mitt Romney in the battleground state, according to a recent poll.
The latest NBC News/Marist poll indicated that Obama holds a 46 percent to 45 percent advantage over Romney, positioning the opponents in a statistical tie in a state Obama won by 9 points in 2008. The poll was conducted May 22-24.
Colorado will be the fourth battleground state the first lady has visited of late; she campaigned in Cleveland, Ohio in May, and stopped in both Pennsylvania and Virginia last week to rally and meet with campaign volunteers.
She will also attend a fundraising reception for the Obama Victory Fund in Memphis, Tennessee on June 28, according to a campaign official.
