Conservative group targets women voters

(CNN) - The Concerned Women for America conservative group on Tuesday announced what they hope to be a $1 million voter identification, registration, and turnout effort targeting women.

The group said the effort, She Votes, would be focused in 23 states - including the battlegrounds of Florida, Iowa, Ohio, and Virginia - in which the CWA has operations.

Romney: Obama needs to 'get in touch'

Orlando (CNN) – In a speech Tuesday, Mitt Romney continued to admonish Barack Obama for his remark last week saying the private sector "was doing fine," while also claiming the president misunderstands the economic impact of the health care law implemented by his own administration.

"The president needs to get in touch with what's happening in the private sector, what's happening with middle income families and the damage that's being done by the specter of Obamacare and the taxes that it already charges to businesses in the health care sector," Romney said Monday.

Romney to address 100+ CEOs in Washington

Washington (CNN) – Mitt Romney will talk about the economy to over 100 chief executive officers on Wednesday in Washington.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee will be a guest of the Business Roundtable as the organization holds its quarterly meeting. Members of the media will be allowed to cover Romney's opening remarks, organizers said. The remainder of the meeting – which will include a question-and-answer session with the attending CEO's – will be closed to the press.

Incentive pay for President Romney?

(CNNMoney) – Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney was asked Tuesday whether he would accept a salary as president, or refuse compensation in the name of deficit reduction.

The chief executive's salary is nothing to scoff at - $400,000 a year - but it amounts to loose change compared to the $1 trillion-plus annual federal deficit.

Holder rejects resignation call at testy Senate hearing

Washington (CNN) - Attorney General Eric Holder on Tuesday rejected a Republican call to resign, telling a heated Senate hearing that Republicans were trying to score political points instead of addressing significant issues.

Under attack from the outset by Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Holder rejected accusations he was stonewalling congressional investigators on the botched "Fast and Furious" gun-running sting operation and failing to properly investigate recent leaks of classified information.

(CNN) - Jeb Bush, the popular former governor of Florida, took to Twitter Tuesday to clarify his remark that Ronald Reagan, along with his father George H.W. Bush, wouldn't fit within today's Republican Party.

"The point I was making yesterday is this: The political system today is hyperpartisan. Both sides are at fault," Bush wrote, adding in a separate Tweet: "Am reminded today why I rarely read headlines. #ContextIsImportant."

'Strange' claim, Romney maintains

(CNN) – Mitt Romney Tuesday said it was "strange" that Democrats' claim he wants to cut the ranks of local governments.

On Monday, President Barack Obama's presidential campaign released a web video highlighting Romney's comments Friday on public sector jobs.
