Romney walking fine line on immigration, Santorum says

(CNN) - In an interview to air Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rick Santorum offered advice for how GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney could handle the immigration policy announcement President Barack Obama made Friday.

The government will defer deportation for some young people who were brought to the United States as children, have no criminal record, pose no security risk, and are furthering their educations.

The full interview airs Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," which airs at 9 a.m. and noon ET.

Romney Wawa visit diverted by Rendell, protesters

Quakertown, Pennsylvania (CNN) - The presence of protesters and former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell was enough to steer Mitt Romney's campaign bus toward another Wawa store in Quakertown Saturday.

The Democratic National Committee has staged stops nearby or along Romney's six-state bus tour, waging their own message campaign called "Romney economics: The middle class under the bus tour."

Romney: Obama offers no 'fair shot,’ but 'immoral' debt

(CNN) - Mitt Romney's speech to a gathering of social conservatives on Saturday was tailored to major issues discussed at the conference - family and freedom - but he found his applause lines when he hit President Barack Obama's handling and remarks on the economy.

"The president the other day in a speech said that he wants to make sure every American has a fair shot, and somehow he was suggesting that that's not something I want to do, or the Republicans want to do. Of course we want to see every American have a fair shot, I agree with him about that," Romney said.

Washington (CNN) - Former GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum gave a signal to social conservatives on Saturday: Mitt Romney's "message is sound. It's solid."

"I've talked to Governor Romney, and I have no doubt - and I mean this in all sincerity - I have no doubt he understands the centrality of family. He understands the importance of family for our culture, for our economy, and for our future."
