Washington (CNN) - Voting on strictly partisan lines, a House committee recommended Wednesday that Attorney General Eric Holder be cited for contempt of Congress for failing to turn over documents relating to the botched Fast and Furious weapons sting operation.
The vote ended an extraordinary daylong hearing that took place after President Barack Obama asserted executive privilege over some documents sought by the panel investigating Fast and Furious.

This is nothing but a partisan witch hunt and a waste a taxpayer money. Issa is treating the American people with contempt. Thought the GOP was going to focus on jobs? What a joke!
Most everything Mr. Obama says anymore is surreal and cringe worthy. He sounds like a little grade school kid who thinks by telling the same lies over and over will exonerate him or, if that doesn't work, he blames everyone else. Since the leftist media did such an effective hatchet job on George W. Bush for 8 years, he is the target of choice. Unfortunately, we have legions of dumbed down useful idiots who lap up every word from the left and haven't had an original thought in decades. The real tragedy is not Obama or his policies, but the strange fact that someone of his ilk and incompetence could actually be elected President in the first place. It is a sad commentary on the state of the nation. The health and future survival of America are in dire straights. Unfortunately, I am not sure we have the means, personnel and resolve to save her through political channels.
Apparently Obama was exercising his leadership skills in the Fast and Furious gun running to Mexico and calling all of the shots there also. Now trying to cover that up also.

How this guy is still in congress is beyond me. Then I think about all the money he has made since being elected to congress and it all comes together. He and his brother don't have to steal cars anymore. Wasn't he discharged from the Army for stealing a car?
All these idiots in Washington need to be held in contempt for cashing in on our taxpayer dollars while they do nothing.
This country's top law enforcement officer is now it's biggest law breaker and it now looks like it extends into the Obama Whitehouse. People have DIED because of these people and now they are covering up their trail and stonewalling. It is imperative that these criminals be removed from office in November and the Whitehouse be fumigated in January.

when Congresswoman Gillfords was shot and several others killed last year the GOP STILL did not want to ackonowledge nor do anything about any kind of gun control. Now all of a sudden Issa and the fellas are so concerned about who has guns and where they came from. Gimme a break. Next thing you know the NRA will be jumping up and down about this as well.
When, not if, they cite him, Holder's entire response should be "so what?"
Yada, Yada, Yada – Shut up and produce the documents. Its about time and they need to get on with the contempt vote. Holder is so arrogant it should be pleasurable to watch.
And to whoever makes the little name placards... this is NOTHING "honorable" about Eric Holder so might I suggest just inserting his anticipated inmate number instead?
Before casting the first stone people really need to know just where the problem lies. There was never an opportunity to work out a way to solve this issue outside of the press. Darrell Issa is a very partisan man and he has been highly critical of the President and those in his administration from day one. He threatened to get after them and now three years later he has done so.
The smell at this moment is coming from Congress which cannot and will not work with the White House. Partisan politics has gotten way out of hand and we the People need to pull the plug on this Congress and elect people who will work together and do not need to make themselves so important. Mr. Issa has nto learned to do that and has been very spiteful. Not a good attitude for a committee chairperson.
As I said in another post.....Judge Napolitano said on Fox News, the only way that they can use executive priviledge, is if Obama himself was involved with Fast and Furious. So, the new question now becomes-"how exactly was Obama involved in this". Judicial Watch is also going after Holder/Obama to get these documents released. The Republicans need to get the family members of the killed/murdered Border Patrol Agent to speak out again--just in case their are still voters who have not heard about how Obama/Holder's Fast and Furious program caused the death of their loved one, while he was working as a Border Patrol Agent. It will be interesting to see how the Dems vote next week.
First Congress stated, including CAN'Tor of VA, that holding Holder in contempt will be overreaching – this was months ago – What happened???
This is all an effort to TRY and destroy President Obama and nothing more............IT'S NOT GOING TO WORK!!
