(CNN) - The House Oversight Committee is considering a contempt measure against Attorney General Eric Holder over documents sought by the panel investigating the botched gun-running sting called Operation Fast and Furious. On Wednesday, President Barack Obama entered the dispute by asserting executive privilege over the documents sought by committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-California.

It is not nearly the news today that was when the shrub trotted out "executive privilege" so the Raven and Myers could be protected.
At least Holder honored the subpoena, Myers and Rove simply ignored that as well.

Issa doesn't want to dig into the Bush admin. papers. He wants to blame the driver of the car for the murder during the bank robbery and let the shooter go free.
It's pretty clear at this point first Holder, and now Obama, are in FULL COVERUP MODE. This whole Fast & Furious operation was a major disaster from day one with these clowns. Running illegal guns to drug cartels in a bordering country WITHOUT their knowledge or cooperation and then to have a US Border Patrol agent killed along with who knows how many Mexican citizens, yeah, I can see how the Obama adminstration might want to cover up who knew what when.
The lawlessness of the Obama adminstration is breathtaking in its scope. And now deadly in its consequences.
what happens....the GOP wastes time on discussions and voting instead of focusing on the economy. Sound familiar GOP?
What would be really neat is if CNN or any of the other liberally biased media went back on what Obama said about the situation with Bush's AG and compared it to his actions and statements now. It would show the corrupt hypocrisy of the idiot, but, none of the liberally biased media will do that. They would be in trouble with the regime if they actually report the real news instead of what the propaganda arm hand feeds them. We owe this to those liberal media professors.

I don't think Obama will let it get to that point. Obviously transparency is not in Holder or Obama's agenda.
Executive privilege cannot be declared unless Obama was involved. So, prosecute Obama for murder as well as Holder.
Over 3,000 military men and women lost their lives in Iraq based upon a lie told by George W. Bush and Darrell Issa did nothing. Issa did nothing when Dick Cheney, et al outed Valerie Plane as an agent that ended her career and could have gotten her killed. I hope Issa does hold Eric Holder in contempt and I hope the U.S. Military Tribune goes after Issa, Bush and Cheney, et al. before the World Tribunal does.

Claiming executive priviledge over an operation the White House had no part in? They are hiding something and Holder has stone walled Congress at ever turn. Holding Holder for contempt is the only option. Evidently Holder does not think the death of our Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was important enough for his time to examine what went wrong. Congress needs to harrass Holder until he will do his job or quit.

Should we be suprised at the "Executive Privilege"? Of course not; it is the normal practice of any African dictator.
Americans should hold this congress in contempt for playing petty politics when there is so much they should be doing. If the oversight committee wanted all the facts, they would have started with the Bush Admin. Department of Justice management team since they are the ones who implemented the program. Why have they not called them to testify if they really want all the facts? Because, they don't want all the facts, they want to try and use anything they can to embarrass the president. The GOP should lose everything this year and maybe, just maybe, they would get the message that we expect them to work with the president to take care of business for the American people instead of trying to destroy a president that was legally elected by the majority of Americans. Where is their duty to country? Sure as heck not in front of their duty to party. Today's members of the GOP are the worst. They would rather bring America to its knees than work with President Obama. Shame on them. They are indeed contemptable.
