Washington (CNN) – U.S. Secretary of Commerce John Bryson stepped down Thursday, telling President Barack Obama in a letter of resignation that a recent seizure could be a distraction from doing his job.
"I have concluded that the seizure I suffered on June 9th could be a distraction from my performance as secretary and that our country would be better served by a change of leadership of the department," Bryson's letter said.
FULL STORY

Never even knew who he was until he got into all these accidents. You'd think with the economy and jobs situation we have that this guy would have been front and center. But since commerce does not include government uion jobs, Obama probably never spoke to the guy in 3.5 years. Those are the only jobs Obama seems to care about.
Get well, Mr. Secretary. Your personal health is first and foremost.
"Those are the only jobs Obama seems to care about."

Actually, it is the GOTP that is more concerned about union jobs than Democrats. I love the way conservatives are the masters of deceptive projection. Don't you know that everyone who isn't a right wing extremist has caught on to that game? You would need to be half brain dead, looking for brain to brain resuscitation, to fall for that stuff.
Anybody know what this guy actually accomplished in 3.5 years in the Whitehouse??? The USA has MILLIONS fewer jobs and working Americans.
Obama will be the FIRST President in American history to see a net job DECLINE in his 4 years in office. Yes lefties FOUR YEARS is the Obama term so enough with your mathematical deceit that drops Obama's first year in office when calculating numbers.
And the deceit of portraying temporary TARP bailout money as permanent federal spending is quite amusing! Obama has turned a one time emergency expenditure and turned it into permanent government spending and then claims he didn't grow the government and the deficits. The deceit and dishonesty of Obama and his supporters is mind boggling.
Seizures are nothing to ignore. Several members of my family have them, all are on medication and their seizures have lessened in both number and seriousness. If the doctors can prescribe the right medication for him, there's no reason he should resign. Seizures can be controlled to a great extent through medication.
Hope you have a full and complete recovery sir.
Why would he resign? Others have had medical problems and keep their jobs. Thats what sick leave is for. No, I think it goes deeper than that. Maybe a little tipsy while he was driving? Anyone can see there is more to this story than what our government will say.
Mr. Secretary, what is the real story here.
