Washington (CNN) – Condoleezza Rice will host her first Washington, D.C. fund-raiser Monday night in support of ShePAC, a super PAC focused on supporting Republican women.
Former Secretary of State Rice will lead a private briefing for GOP women serving in the House and Senate, a larger briefing for members and deliver remarks to a general reception, according to an adviser to the PAC.

"Though the population of the United states is 51% female, Republican women hold only 5.5% of our Congressional seats," the group's co-chairs and treasurer wrote in an email to supporters announcing their first fund-raiser. "Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is joining our efforts to change that percentage by helping us support Republican women."
ShePAC launched in February with the goal of electing conservative women across the country. They received national attention earlier in the year for an online video, "Bill Maher: Obama's Million Dollar Man," which they used to subsequently raise thousands of dollars.
The 29 GOP women currently serving in Congress were invited to Monday's events. The confirmed attendees include Senate candidates Deb Fischer of Nebraska, Heather Wilson of New Mexico and Sarah Steelman of Missouri. House candidates Martha Zoller of Georgia, Lisa Wilson-Foley of Connecticut, Karen Harrington of Florida, Wendy Rogers of Arizona, Kim Vann of California, Nancy Jacobs of Maryland, Faith Loudon of Maryland, Leah Campos-Schandlbauer of Arizona, Maria Sheffield of Georgia and Jason Love, representing his wife Mia Love of Utah will also attend, according to the adviser.
Monday's events follow Rice's appearance at a Mitt Romney presidential campaign retreat over the weekend. Although the former top diplomat in the administration of former President George W. Bush does not often play politics publicly, many attendees at the Utah gathering called Rice's speech to the group a highlight of the weekend.
Chuck Cobb, a former ambassador to Iceland, called Rice "spectacular."
"She's just a very bright, sophisticated, articulate lady," Cobb said.
Roughly 700 Romney donors and fund-raisers at the Park City, Utah resort were treated to panel discussions, speeches and a strategy briefing from Romney and his staff.

Has't Rice done enough damage? She dismissed Clinton's warnings. Why do people seem to forget that 9/11 happened on HER warch when she was ignoring good advice due to Rove's partisan civil war? She has done enough.
@once upon a horse...
I'm going to have to disagree here, Condi and the others you mention are nothing but turncoats and they will never have any influence over blacks. We actually LOATHE all of them. But I will day there are some blacks that will vote republican. They have really great jobs and tend to not care about those that don't. For some reason they don't see that the rethuglican party is only using them.
Btw, why is this trending??
So, I'm guessing that ole Condi won't be doing a lot of overseas appearances? If she, Dick Cheney, John Yoo, and Paul Wolfowitz would all be so kind as to gather in a country that detains war criminals, I'm guessing Interpol and the International Criminal Court would be very, very appreciative. (Which is why we are going to be stuck with them here in the U.S. for a long, long time.)
GOP is a cult, kkk
We are here blogging just vetting Condi indirectly. She is on the list of Romney's pick for VP. They want to know what folk say about her!
It is always of interest on what people write or what they believe is the truth. Because the former Secretary of State is having a fund raiser she is suddenly attacked by individuals who only understand what someone has told them through a political office or what is said on one of the news channels. Then they go on a spitful and insuting diatribe and it become compounded. When the same is said about President Obama we are "hooded" racist. So, simply put for the intellectuasls what you write is truly insignificant.
Overall, I think she did a very good job. As, I Democratic poster stated she did a good job considering the times. She got more things correct than not. We don't have the world contention as we do know. We also were listened to by other nations more than today. I want to say that Secretary of State Clinton has done well as well.
Listening to the accusations, one is did Iraq have WMD. By definition the answer is yes. The proof is ask any soldier or verteran, newsman, or camera crewman who was there. The Kurds were constant victims of Saddam Hussiens chemical attack, the pictures have been publish globally for all to see. You can see where the convulsions eventually snapped the spine of the backs of some of these victims. Villages wiped out, no it wasn't a nuke but the definition of WMD is the ability to cause mass destruction or death.
So what has our current administration brought us. Well, we have Tarp II which was just as bad as Tarp I if not worse. Worse because our President condemned President Bush for not having stipulations. Tarp II was significantly voicd of stipulations. Proof – look at the bonuses given out. Cash for clunkers? It cleared out the surplus stock of vehicles sitting at the manufacturing plants that is all. Vehicle sales haven't gone up. We are still facing increased foreclosures in this country. High unemployment rate, we really are at about 16% unemployed n this country. We are still in two wars, we have drone strikes that are occuring in Yemen and now drones can fly in this country. President Obama signed the NDAA law (look it up) with reservations which allows the Federal government to arrest you without charges. This is the second time in this country that this was made law. The first time was under President Wilson who authorized the arrest of any protestor in WWI, a good progressive Demcorat he was (he also said the Birth of a Nation was a great movie – which got the Klan going again). Our economy is weak and not strong, where are the jobs with the shovel in the ground etc...? 48% of this country is living day to day – our financial worth is dwindling. Now you can think that this was President Bush's fault but it is time for President Obama who has been in office for over 3 years to take ownership and responsibility. The first two years of his presidency the Democrats controlled the house and senate. They collectively sat on their hands.
So with all of that I cannot or will not vote for President Obama. The other candidate isn't great either but as a country we cannot move forward with what we have.
condi needs to get back on the black democrat plantation where she belongs. real black women don't need to be thinkin on their own. she should know better.
"...a super PAC focused on supporting Republican women."
Which I assume by "supporting republican women" they mean aiding them with their rehab after years of suffering as conservative women.
The unhinged GOBP still searching for their token. Condi loves that role.
GO CONDI!!!! We know why you flopped on the GOP last election but we still love ya! You realize that 'change' was more of the same.....
ROMNEY-RICE 2012 Because I can't be american and vote for him twice!
@ Wake up People.....
I can see we are one in the same so to speak, so I find it fun to agree to disagree. I would choose Rice and Powell FAR over the others I mentioned like Allen West, Alan Keyes, Herman Cain and even Clarence Thomas who appear to think that in order to be accepted by the GOP they have to go as far right as they can even become right wingnuts. As an AA myself I HAVE voted for some Republicans in the past if I agrred with what they have to offer, BUT THIS current bunch in Congress will NEVER get my vote. And I do agree with you that the ones mentioned are being used by the GOP and not for good reasons.
all you libs that don't like her and disagree with her are only that because your all RACISTS....see, work both ways…… Hear how stupid that sounds….that’s how you sound when you pull that crap with Obama. We hate his POLICIES and his liberal stance…..no one cares he’s BLACK…..
Condi Rice proves that what Democritus said about supposedly educated men – "Many much learned men have no intelligence." – applies to supposedly educated women as well – "Many much learned women have no intelligence."
Condi may be bright in the book learning sense but she was a Sovietologist, meaning that everything she knew is no longer relevant in today's world. She knew little or nothing about Iraq or the Middle East, but that did not stop her from being part of the machinery that deliberately and knowingly spread the lies that got us into a thoroughly bungled war in Iraq.
In this newest endeavor on her part, she remains what she has long been – misguided, ignorant and acting against he best interestes of this nation.
As Romney’s running mate; Rice will be able to orchestrate the much desired Republican War with Iran scheduled for Day 1.
Sweet classical piano music to the ears of the GOP and their base!
She was a terrible Secretary of State! Other than being a lap-do for the worst and most corrupt administration in US history, she has nothing memorable to annotate her record. I guess she was on watch when 9/11 happened... as if that showed positive action on her part. She was simply a pliable token for the Bush/Cheney debacle.
My, those liberal just hate intelligent, successful blacks don't they? Can't keep them on the plantation so they have to discredit them. So sad........
Please CNN, you have much more important things to note than Rice, the incompetent Sec of State, who is really
true true true....libs think that any black that thinks for themselves and and dares to be successful must be a sellout. How sad.......what's just as bad is the left's love affair with coddling blacks all together....we can't TELL black parents to get involved in thier childs school and education, the libs just continue to blame others for the continued failure by making excuses for them and finding new ways to "buy" thier vote. If you libs REALLY care about black America, hold them accountable for thier own actions and stop turning a blind eye. GO CONDI!!!
