Condoleezza Rice to raise cash for GOP women

Washington (CNN) – Condoleezza Rice will host her first Washington, D.C. fund-raiser Monday night in support of ShePAC, a super PAC focused on supporting Republican women.

Former Secretary of State Rice will lead a private briefing for GOP women serving in the House and Senate, a larger briefing for members and deliver remarks to a general reception, according to an adviser to the PAC.

"Though the population of the United states is 51% female, Republican women hold only 5.5% of our Congressional seats," the group's co-chairs and treasurer wrote in an email to supporters announcing their first fund-raiser. "Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is joining our efforts to change that percentage by helping us support Republican women."

ShePAC launched in February with the goal of electing conservative women across the country. They received national attention earlier in the year for an online video, "Bill Maher: Obama's Million Dollar Man," which they used to subsequently raise thousands of dollars.

The 29 GOP women currently serving in Congress were invited to Monday's events. The confirmed attendees include Senate candidates Deb Fischer of Nebraska, Heather Wilson of New Mexico and Sarah Steelman of Missouri. House candidates Martha Zoller of Georgia, Lisa Wilson-Foley of Connecticut, Karen Harrington of Florida, Wendy Rogers of Arizona, Kim Vann of California, Nancy Jacobs of Maryland, Faith Loudon of Maryland, Leah Campos-Schandlbauer of Arizona, Maria Sheffield of Georgia and Jason Love, representing his wife Mia Love of Utah will also attend, according to the adviser.

Monday's events follow Rice's appearance at a Mitt Romney presidential campaign retreat over the weekend. Although the former top diplomat in the administration of former President George W. Bush does not often play politics publicly, many attendees at the Utah gathering called Rice's speech to the group a highlight of the weekend.

Chuck Cobb, a former ambassador to Iceland, called Rice "spectacular."

"She's just a very bright, sophisticated, articulate lady," Cobb said.

Roughly 700 Romney donors and fund-raisers at the Park City, Utah resort were treated to panel discussions, speeches and a strategy briefing from Romney and his staff.

Rice is a woman with a lot of book smarts. She also slipped up once and referred to then-President Bush as her "husband," which tells you beyond books, she's pretty dim.

Shopping for shoes while a major US city drowns. Standing with the Bush administration that got us into war in Iraq.

  5. Obama 2012 - BEND Forward America, NOT a third term of BUSH's years of FAILURE

Condoleezza Rice was part of the disastrous administration of George W. Bush, yet Rmoney is not ashamed to advocate a continuation Bush's policies.

If there is no difference between Obama and Rmoney, why are the KOCH BROTHERS spending $400 million to defeat Obama?

If 51% of the country are women, she should have used the percentage in congress (whether Democrats or Republican) instead of 5.5% Republicans.

"Nobody could have imagined they would use airplanes as weapons." Except that was EXACTLY the tactic that was feared when the dauphin prince was at a conference of world leaders in Milan LESS THAN TWO MONTHS BEFORE SEPTEMBER 11!!!! And was used as justification for keeping said dauphin prince on a boat in the middle of the harbor instead of putting him & his entorage up in a hotel.

Love ThinkAgain's comment that Rice is "dim" because she made a mistake in referring to Bush. If that makes her "dim", the when your buddy Barry said there were 57 states, that must make him "out." Which thankfully is what he will be come January.

That's great news for GOP women!! To think that Condolessa Rice is going to give every last cent of her "fortune" to a "pac" is astounding!!!! Wonder if ole George #43 will follow her lead and give up all of his "millions" too?????

Honestly toby, haven't you anything to offer besides tired old strawmen? Nobody's putting her down – they're merely pointing out her many failings. The truth hurts, but it is what it is.

With our president trying to clean it up with out any help from the vary ones who made the mess. And now they'r just standing around pointing at the mess and blaming it on The president. @Walter – There is quite a bit of difference in mistaking someone's name or position and mistaking someone as your husband – especially when you are NOT married! As for Barry (BTW: he called himself that for a while so I don't understand why you people think it's such an insult), in case you are not aware, the United States consists of 57 states, territories, and protectorits. They had been included them in speeches at times so it really isn't quite as funny as you think.

As secretary of state, she was just as deep in do-do as everyone else in the Bush Administration. This has nothing to do with her being a woman. It has everything to do with the policies set during the Bush Administration and she was right there endorsing it all!!! Don't be fooled.

False information provided by a Head of State ( Saddam Hussein ) is dangerous business. He came clean after being captured, tried and found guilty of ordering the killing of his own citizens that he was trying to convince Iran that he had a WMD program. In fact, he had plenty of opportunities to solve the situation he created prior to the war but decided to gamble on the resolve of the coalition. That did not work so well for his regime, but when all was discovered they needed to go anyway. And they went. And we were successful. And it wasn't easy but our fine military did an excellent job in a tough situation. I stand by my prediction that history will judge Condoleezza Rice as a great American.

Are you serious?! She's a huge threat to the failed and flwed thinking of the leftist women's libbers and so MUST be attacked and destroyed. She a highly intelligent, articulate, conservative black woman! Her mere existence is a direct contradiction of the misinformation the left spews on a daily basis.
