(CNN) - The head of a House committee slammed President Barack Obama's assertion of executive privilege in the panel's probe of the Fast and Furious gun running sting and implored the president to rethink his move.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa made the remarks in a letter to the president dated Monday, as the House gets ready to vote this week on a contempt resolution against Attorney General Eric Holder.

Whatever. Issa is a tool. The guy has now publicly subscribed to the conspiracy theory that this was an effort to create the public will to increase gun regulations by getting people maimed and killed. It's nonsense, backed up by zero factual evidence and is contradicted by a great deal of evidence, including the Obama administration's loosening of gun control regulations in national parks and on Amtrak and emails that were produced to Congress. But that's ok, right tinfoil hatters? Because everyone knows that the absence of evidence proving the existence of a conspiracy is itself evidence of the conspiracy. Those elephants are oh so good at hiding in strawberry patches...that's why you never find them there.
This is all nothing but scalp hunting, pure and simple. One of Issa's aides even offered to drop the contempt issue if one fo the assistant attorney generals would resign in desgrace over this. Issa and the GOP/Teatrolls want a scalp...they don't really give a crap about the substance of the issues.

Maybe Holder should not have STOPPED the Fast and Furious fiasco which was STARTED by the Bush administration.
If Issa is serious about getting to the roots of their kangaroo investigations, why did he not invite the originators of the program? Was Bush also part of the Faux Noise conspiracy to take away 2nd amendment rights?

but didn't Issa just say on FoxNews of all places that he has NO evidence of a coverup and has NO evidence that the president nor the White House know anything about this? So if this is the case WHY waste our tax dollars on this witch hunt that will have no concrete answers. It is a shame that a law enforcement agent lost his life over this, yet other brave agents in law enforcement lose their lives almost everyday in our country it is a sad part of the job. Using this and some way out scheme that Obama planned this so in his possible second term he can ban assualt weapons and take everybody's guns away is just plain NUTS.
