Now if conservatives had actually come up with an alternative plan, instead of returning to the broken status quo, the SCOTUS decision might have been much different. Why? Because a better alternative might have struck down the law.

The only way Republicans can win this fight is to come up with a better plan, UP FRONT.

You were WRONG in 2008 and you'll be wrong in 2012.

Conveniently forgot about 2010 huh??? Don't expect the American people to make the same mistake in 2012 that they made in 2008. They have now paid dearly with their freedom. They will not double down on losing even more of it. As a matter of fact, I believe they will RECLAIM what they have had taken. Expect Romney's numbers and campaign contributions to skyrocket, as will ALL Republican candidates for federal office.

the justices finally got something right, now if i can be penalized for no auto insurance, why the $$%^ not health insurance

Your analogy is simply incorrect. You can choose to not own/drive a car. However, with this ruling, that may no longer hold true. The government may now decide that it's better for the country for you to drive a Prius. Get ready to open up your wallet and buy, or pay their fine.

You would be more convincing if you weren't so paranoid. Make a good argument next time!!!

Your analysis is incorrect. True, you can shoose to not own a drive a car. In fact, you can own and drive a car without insurance legally, provided you do not travel on public roads. Drive you pickup around your farm to your hearts content. You are required to have auto insurance when you operate your vehicle in public.

Similarly, you can choose to never go to public hospital and live off the grid, under the radar, without health insurance if you wish. But, you must have health insurance, or some means to guarantee payment for all of your fees and services up front, if you come to a public hospital looking for health care. It works just lilke auto insurance.

This is all about taking personal responsibility for yourself. The conservative flip-flop on this issue is appalling. Why should I have to pay higher prices at the hospitals, and higher prices on my inusrance premiums, because some free loaders do not carry insurance and get health care without paying for it?

Why should some people be allowed to go into the grocery store, take what they want, not pay for it, while the paying customers are charged higher prices to make up for the shoplifters? There are laws against shoplifting at the grocery store and now we have a law against shoplifting in the Emergency Room.

Just saw the President's remarks on the SC's ruling of OBAMACARE (because he does).
I was extremely gratified at his composure, and his reiterating that this law was not enacted for political reasons but because it was the RIGHT THING TO DO.
Additionally it was great to have him breakdown what OBAMACARE will mean to everyone. People listen and understand when the President speaks.
The Republicans prefer to lie and keep people in a perpetual state of fear.
Obama 2012. Moving America and Americans FORWARD towards a better future.
