LOOK at facts people. 250 million Americans have insurance. this was to help 30 million that did not have or could not get insurance. Of that 30 million, 6 million have already been helped by either stae law changes or those under 26 going on their parents plans. The only once that will be fined ( or taxed) are those that do not get some sort of insurance. This will include being able to go on employer plans that you may have opted out of or taking advantage of the premium finance portion if you cannot afford coverage. healtcare.gov will give you a timeline and tell you what is offered under this program.

While trying to jam it through, the Dems claimed it was not a tax so President Obama would not break his pledge to tax people under 250k of income but, during the various cout hearings the Admin lawyers changed their argument to say it indeed was a tax therfore constitutional. That is the basis for the SCOTUS decision to call it a tax and declare it constitutional.
So Nancy Pelosi, Harry Ried, the President and all of the Dems who voted for this horrible bill DID LIE TO US !!!
I pray we the people have enough intelligence to vote these people out in November.

Most of us knew since Obamacare was introduced that it was a TAX because Obama gave it to the IRS to handle and IRS can only handle taxes. So Obama did make it a TAX, Supreme Court confirmed it.
Didn't Obama say that Obamacare wasn't a Tax? Yes he did. Didn't Obama say he'd have the most transparent administraiton in history? Yes, he did. Didn't Obama say that he could make things better? Yes he did. Obamacare was ruled a tax, Obama has put up roadblocks to transparency everywhere he could. And things aren't better since he became president. Did Obama lie? Yes he did. I HAVE to pay for car insurance. That's the price for driving. In California, I have to keep my Smog Certificate current for my aging car, That's the price for clean air. If I am a homeowner and have a mortgage owned by a bank, I have to have Homeowner's Insurance in case of injury to another on my property and damages done to my house such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes. I have to be covered or my bank will not loan me money for owning a car, a house, a boat, an airplane, a train, a business. Now, because Insurance Companies have kept increasing healthcare costs and are picking and chosing which maladies are to their choosing (Death Panels, anyone?) whether or not you have paid into the system for YEARS and never used it until needed, they have forced our government to act. Why? Going to an Emergency Room and/or doctor costs money. Someone will always pay to pick up the slack – AKA the the people who are already insured by INSURANCE COMPANIES who justify the increases because of the uninsured or, the TAXPAYERS. Nobody has avoided paying already. This law makes it Illegal for private insurance companies to pick and choose the coverage they decide to give (Death Panels) and protects those people who pay a private insurer from being scammed. We were already being charged BECAUSE the INSURANCE LOBBIES always have their mouths at the Government Teat and have their hand out for Government to pay, pay, pay whether you are paying or not. Government is you, my friends.
I would perfer there was NO middlemen who are in it for profits. You can bet the insurance companies are keeping us from cheaper healthcare. They are some of the RICHEST companies in this country. Yet, they spend millions upon millions to keep you DEPENDENT. Wake up folks. Your freedoms were taken away a long time ago by greedy people. Let's work together to make this an even better program.
