(CNN) - When President Barack Obama signed his health care bill into law in 2010, Vice President Joe Biden turned to him and said in his ear, but loudly enough that microphones picked it up, "This is a big f***king deal."
That came to be the best-remembered moment from the ceremony. The Obama campaign printed it on t-shirts and the White House press secretary weighed in with a response.

After the Supreme Court upheld the law on Thursday, a tweet from the vice president recalled the sentiment.

CNN – Please stop referring to the Affordable Health Care Act as "ObamaCare". It is a negative political term and has come to encompass government overreaching. Where is your editorial policay? We are a nation 10 times better than most, and yet fall way behind in healthcare, and we are starting to get their too. This means volumes to those of us who struggle to pay for healthcare now, and great service to all Americans.
Often, in vain, I have looked for just one redeeming aspect of the George W. Bush administration. Who knew it would one day come in the guise of his appointment of John Roberts as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court even though we all know that was not Bush's intention? Many Presidents have promised health care reform (Teddy Roosevelt) and one even tried (Bill Clinton) but only one delivered. Thank you President Obama! It is irony at it's best, and a wonder how the threads of history are woven that would lead to a better America from the horrendous presidency of George W. Bush.
And if the Republicans want to use the whole "TAX" argument come NOVEMBER, Dems should respond with ONE simple question.. "SO WHERE ARE THE JOBS YOU GUYS PROMISED???"
They didn't promise to be focused like a laser on social issues like gay rights, abortion, immigration laws, or health care...
THEY campaigned on JOBS, JOBS, JOBS.
So come November, I hope the voters remember the Tea Party taking the country hostage, lowering it's credit rating, and searching for Obama's birth certificate.
So I say bring on any "OBAMA raised our TAXES" arguments, where it can easily be TRUMPED by the JOBS argument...

This healthcare law is something passed to help the American people – not just the ultra-rich fat-cats the Republicans are defending. It's outrageous that Romney actually "invented" the prototype for the law but now denies that absolute fact. What a liar. Republicans themselves proposed many of the provisions but cried "socialism" when the President looked to them for compromise. The Tea Party radicals are being sent a message from the American people!
Congradulations President Obama. What you have achieved is nothing less than inspirational. Many presidents before you, democrat and republican alike have tried very hard to achieve what you have with medical care for all americans. Welcome to the 21st century america. In 2010, Congress enacted the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in order to increase the number of Americans covered by healthinsurance and decrease the cost of health care. One key provision is the individual
mandate, which requires most Americans to maintain "minimum essential" health insurance coverage. 26 U. S. C. §5000A. For individuals who are not exempt, and who do not receive health insurance through an employer or
government program, the means of satisfying the requirement is to purchase insurance from a private company. Beginning in 2014, those who do not comply with the mandate must make a shared responsibility payment to the Federal Government. §5000A(b)(1). The Act provides that this "penalty" will be paid to the Internal Revenue Service with an individual's taxes, and "shall be assessed and collected in the same manner" as tax penalties.
Please note the phrase about purchasing insurance from a "private company." How is this a "government takeover"?
