BREAKING: House passes transportation bill

(CNN) – The U.S. House on Friday passed a $109 billion transportation funding bill as part of a package that includes a measure holding down interest rates on federal student loans.

Both are priorities of President Barack Obama and came after rare bipartisan agreement in the deeply divided Congress. The package now goes to the Senate for final approval.

All right, what's the catch? Are women no longer allowed cancer screening? Did we repeal minimum wage? Do we now have a national religion? Why would the obstructionists allow this to pass, as it will lower the unemployment rate?

Oh, spend more money we don't have?! Harry Reid will have no problem getting this right through the Senate.

And why is the taxpayer subsidizes low interest rate loans to ANYBODY? What was all this talk in here yesterday about deadbeats in the emergency room having to pay up? Why can't these people pay up as well. THEY signed the loan agreement, NOT THE TAXPAYER. Oh yeah, the Obama Recession has them all unemployed. If they vote for him again, I'm sure Obama will keep them unemployed for another 4 years. Will the taxpayer be expected to then payoff all these loans? Where and when does the Obama insanity end? Hopefully this November.

  3. Obamacare = Obama cares about the young, elderly, poor and disabled.

Was there an amendment where women had to strap their uterus to the top of the car?

I know it is early, but Rasmussen has Obama up 45 to 44 over Mittens. The 4 point drop for Mittens this past week was even before right wingnuts found out that Romneycare in MA funds abortions.

I am beginning to think that right wingnuts are having buyer's remorse over having the Kochs and Rove choose Mittens as their presidential candidate.

Yesterday, a right wingnut said the market was reacting to the supreme court decision. Today it is up over 200 points. Are they still reacting to the supreme court decision?

    Rudy opined:

"Justice Roberts knew what he was doing. He set the stage to make it far easier for Republicans to repeal the ACA."
    --------
That's just plain ridiculous. If he had voted to strike it down, there would be nothing to repeal. So you're saying he voted to uphold it so it could be repealed? Absurd.

Lookit everyone! Congress is trying to give the appearance of working of being functional again. Trying to make us forget the hell their partisan shenanigans and indolent inactivity put us through in their attempt to take down the brown man at the helm at the expense of the entire nation.
Yes. Keep up the dog and pony show, but you don't have enough time to make things up to us before we vote you out.

That is good because we need to maintain roads, bridges and trains. Without those, we lose because we can't move people and products around the country to get things done.

Why do they bundle these 2 separate issues in one bill? Student Loans and Highway funding? I high like dislike this practice in government. But glad it passed. President Obama is having a pretty good week.

Did anybody think that Obama would fix Washington without a huge fight? It is right to say he's done very, very well considering he's been dismantling that corrupted brick wall one at a time. Obama has cannon balls of steel. Go buddy, go!

Obama has played his cards just right....as the election gets closer Repubs don't want afresh memory of them voting down a bill that helps employment....or a bill that would double lone fees to thousands of young voters....Obama is just a better politician, and smarter than the repub "leaders".... He is the black cloud that continues to rain on all their schemes..... Keep it up Obama!!!!
