Washington (CNN) - Republicans launched a blistering attack Friday on the health care reform law upheld by the Supreme Court, seeking to rally their base's opposition to the measure to bolster their fortunes in the November election.
Using the court's finding that the centerpiece of the law - the individual mandate - amounted to a legal exercise of congressional taxing power, GOP leaders accused President Barack Obama and Democrats of deceiving the nation about the Affordable Care Act during debate on the measure in 2009 and 2010.

We always said Obama was a tax and spend liberal and that is exactly what has happened. Obamacare will be the largest regressive tax in history along with his excitemnet for letting Bush tax cuts expire in about 6 months. He has done nothing but spend $$ as debt has soared but now he has also solidified his legacy with taxes.

The ironic part of yesterday's SCOTUS folly is that John Roberts pretty much guaranteed that Mitt Romney will be elected in November. The ACA and all of it's problems from the partisan way it was slapped together and thrust upon the US is not very popular with Independents. They know how to get it replaced with something that works better, improves the quality of care and reduces medical costs instead of drastically increasing them. Romney 2012 and as many Republican Senators as we can elect!
Difference between November and Midterm is that Obama is running against the father of Romneycare tax.

Roberts's characterization of the individual mandate as a tax was intended to provide campaign ammo for the GOP. Everything Roberts does and says is entirely partisan. He is a disgrace to the Court, but in that he follows a "conservative" tradition that goes back to the mid nineteenth century. The bad news for their side is that the anti-tax zealots numbers have peaked, there is no room to grow. I;m sticking to my original prediction that Romney's campaign will flame out by mid-August.
The repeal Obamacare Movement has failed. Republicans need to let it go, let it rest and move on to jobs. Move foward.

The Republicans have such an interesting view of reality. "Elect me and I'll take away your healthcare" is certainly a winning slogan. They are forcing their candidate, Mr. Romney to deny the one success he had as Governor of Mass. They are forcing themselves to attack their own health care innitiative that has been around since the Clinton years.
They would be far smarter to embrace the ACA, show their contributions in it and move forward. I think what they fail to see is Americans DON'T LIKE GOING BACKWARDS. Undoing Civil Rights, Voting Rights, Women's Rights, and now the ACA is not an attractive option.

While the libs are expressing a lot of "atta boy's" to Justice Roberts for his joining with the liberal justices and supporting Obamacare, he's being scratched off of every Conservative's Christmas Card list. Odds are that his decision has just solidified the entire Conservative population behind Mitt Romney even though he's not their first choice.
It's more of a "Lie" then a "Blitz" Every country in the world that has brought universal health care into their countries went through the same thing where one side shouts and cries about how it will be the worst thing to ever happen and will bankrupt the country but try finding a country that would go back to the cave days of having insurance companies running the health care system.Several countries made villans out of the people that brought universal healthcare to law, and now those villans are heros. Once it all settles and people look for the truth they will find out there is no better solution to Romneycare/Obamacare and the entire country has to buy into the system for the system to work. It is shameful that it took this long to get done,but it is done and will never be repealed successfully so it is time to dig in and get the truth through proper research venues and relax and enjoy, and yes it is going to cost lots of money to get it rolling but the alternative is not acceptable in any industrialized country.
This is the biggest, whiniest group of sore losers that I have ever seen in my life. Everything they are complaining about they have done themselves. For months they have been salivating over the fact that the SCOTUS was going to strike down the ACA. They even had the mendacity to complain about President Obama stating he thought the SCOTUS would not strike it down.
The GOP/baggers have no one to blame but themselves. Instead of working WITH the President to move this country forward, they did everything in their power to obstruct everything he attempted. But they are the failures, not him. He still managed to move us forward even with all the obstruction, granted not as fast as we would have liked, but still forward. I think the 2008 election started showing the GOP for what they really are and this election is really showing it. They have acted like traitors since Jan. 2009 and nothing has changed.
