Former Commerce Secretary won't face charges for car accident

(CNN) – John Bryson, who resigned his post of Commerce Secretary last month after suffering a seizure and allegedly being involved in two traffic accidents, will not face charges relating to the incidents, a Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office spokewsoman said Tuesday.

Bryson resigned his post in late June and told President Barack Obama in his resignation letter that the "seizure I suffered on June 9th could be a distraction from my performance as secretary and that our country would be better served by a change of leadership of the department."

Remember the hateful comments from right-wingers and their assumption the man was drinking? Those were the same folks who booed the First Lady at a NASCAR event when she was promoting a program to help the families of our Service-members. Hate is a powerful motivator – especially effective on ignorant bigots.

I commend Mr. Bryson on his resigning and wish him the best in dealing with the seizures. I hope it is not symptomatic of something life-threatening.

It's all the GOP has – Lord knows they don't have a record of accomplishments to run on and all their economic, military and foreign policies are PROVEN FAILURES.

That seems fair. Since he was not in control of his actions during the crash, he should not be held responsible.

I remember , I also remember when it was un American to question the validity over WMDs in Iraq.

The right wing tends to forget the past so all of us have to repeat it again and again.
