Romney's July 4th message: Pay tribute

(CNN) - Presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney made the following statement Wednesday to mark the Fourth of July:

“Today we celebrate 236 years of the world's greatest design for liberty and self-government. As we gather to enjoy food and fireworks, let us also take a moment to pay tribute to the patriots who signed the Declaration of Independence - and the brave men and women who have fought to protect our freedoms through every generation that has followed. With so many around the world still consigned to tyranny, the Fourth of July is a time to appreciate the blessing of liberty and be thankful that we are Americans.”

Romney ran away when his country needed him. Non of his energetic but coward five children-men never served. He is hiding his money at Swiss and Cayman Island to avoid tax. He is not a patriot so he better keep quiet.Who does he think he is fooling? If the former fathers had ran away there will be no 4th july.Romney is eager to send the poor people kids to die to save him and his cronies freedom and riches whilst his children are enjoying their wealth. What a chicken hawk and phony person. God bless America.Amen.

Our forefathers fought for liberty against the tyranny of a spoiled king. They would surely turn over in their graves if they saw some of what is happening today with the "priveledge" class hiding their money to avoid taxes while demanding more. I also don't think they used their horses as giant tax deductions either. ALL classes of citizens fought for our liberties. Even the wealthier land owners such as Washington fought for these freedoms. Romney needs a little bit more of a heart-felt statement for me to care. This age of short twitter-like responses will not get my vote because it does not tell me who you are.

I just love the way Romney is so supportative of the troops. A man who has basically threatened to start more wars if he becomes President, a man who instead of serving in Vietnam took off to France to try and recruit people into his religion and a man who has 5 sons that sit back and count their trust fund instead of fighting for their country. I find it very disturbing that so many Americans think this man would be a good President. I suppose in his mind its ok for others to sacrifice their children to protect the country. Just don't expect him or his family to do it.
