Analysis: Where are the jobs bills?

Washington (CNN) - Another month, another weak jobs report. And don't expect Congress to do much about it anytime soon.

With unemployment stuck above 8%, congressional Democrats and Republicans blasted each other Friday for blocking legislation that would help create new jobs and spark stronger economic growth. Both parties have a number of proposals on the table, but with the campaign now in full swing neither side expects anything to pass before Election Day.

The Republicans absolutely do not want to create jobs! Since the very day President Obama took office Republicans have worked to block anything that might improve our economy. With 137+ filibusters by the Republicans in the Senate and nothing but abortion nonsense from the Tea Party House – they have killed much of the progress we could have made.

John Boehner needs to start asking his infamous question to himself: "WHERE ARE THE JOBS?" I thought that's the platform they ran on in 2010. I've seen more bills on contraception, abortion & deregulation than I've seen on jobs. Why is that Speaker Boehner??? Let's not forget this is the same party who had the audacity to apologize to BP for the biggest oil spill in U.S. history & then had the nerve to say the President was shaking them down. Makes you wonder whose side their own doesn't it?

The article just confirms that Obama offers no new ideas to create jobs, it says Obama embraces the old 1. expanding public sector jobs 2. spending on infrastructure 3. pushing targeted taxcuts.......we all have these methods, ideas, proposal memorized but there is nothing new here that creates jobs for all Americans, nothing here on how to stimulate the economy, nothing new here that creates new businesses. Once again, Obama himself is in over his head, does not have government experience, academics (aside from Law), business experience and he has run out of on-the-job training time.

I'm glad you have that memorized. It is how every president, including Republican presidents, have lifted the economy out of recession. Suddenly under Pres. Obama, we cannot do those things anymore. The common sense solutions.

The Republicans fought against every Democratic attempt to pass bills that would recover the economy
Now that they have The House they STILL can't pass any legislation that would improve economic conditions because they are afraid that President Obama will get credit for it.
So the economy will remain crappy until we put Dems back in charge of The House again.
If the Republicans win WE lose. Because they aren't trying to do anything other than screwing over the poor and making their greedy rich friends richer.
I know who I am voting for. I am just waiting see what the rest of you suckers are gonna do

Gee, I thought ALL legislation the repugs want to pass are jobs bills.

But if we would just Officially Declare that life begins at conception, maybe Pres. Obama's Jobs Bills could get out of the House.

Sometimes people keep looking for better mouse traps when there are none. Nothing wrong with the tried and true methods to create jobs....you just have to implement them.....action.... something a do nothing but obstruct republican majority should be held accountable for.....

Ask this question to your elected representatives in congress. Seems they're more a roadblock to success, than anything else. The republican led congress has done nothing to help the people, and everything to play politics with peoples lives.

@Hammerer – "The jobs bills are stacked up in the Senate"
    ********************************************************
I'll let @Namejkane answer you – "The teabags blocked all jobs bills by Attaching all their exstreamest bafoon riders to every bill they introduced with the intent of throwing a wet blanket over the economy ,knowing the DEMS wouldn't pass such extremest bills"

When the GOP gets serious about passing real legislation, we will have jobs bills. However, that is unlikely to happen while they still believe they can defeat the President by sabotaging the economy. I hope no one from the GOP every runs with the slogan "Country First" ever again.

Is Romney's magic underwear the same as a magic wand???? The new way of creating jobs for ALL Americans .....We don't live in a fantasy world, just the real one ,we strive for the ideal(full employment) and do what we can with what we know....and not pin our hopes on a new way to make jobs!!!! Sell the cure all somewhere else!!!!

Read my comment again, I didn't say we cannot do those things anymore, I said we already know that routine, we have it memorized, what Obama is not giving us is something new. He is not introducing something new, he is just going with the old.

So nos the bishop comes out about job creation but iphe still doesn't say exactly heat he would do. His only job creation history is jobs in India that he took from Americans thanks to bain.

We know the Republican/TeaParty Congress is the biggest detriment to our recovery. They prove it every day, and
yet some want to reward them for their inexcusable willingness to let people suffer– by voting for them again. Who
wants a President that won't tell you what his plans are. Just saying "voter for me, because I said so" won't cut
    it.
