(CNN) - Mitt Romney has repeatedly declined to answer questions about his vice presidential selection process, but he raised the subject in an e-mail Saturday to supporters.
"Sometime soon, I will be choosing a vice presidential candidate to join our winning ticket," he wrote.

The e-mail from the candidate follows a similar one from his campaign manager, Matt Rhoades, on Thursday which invited supporters to donate to his campaign and enter themselves for a chance to meet Romney and his choice for No. 2.
"I would like the chance to personally introduce my running mate to you," Romney wrote in the e-mail.
The e-mail offered no indication of who he may pick.
"There are many incredible men and women who I would be lucky to have as a running mate," he wrote. "And that's why I'm so excited to invite you to meet him or her on the campaign trail with me."
The message, however, may offer a suggestion as to when Romney's decision could come.
Rhoades wrote in his Thursday email, "Every week until the VP announcement is made, one lucky supporter will win the chance to meet Mitt and his choice for VP."
But the candidate's Saturday e-mail requested donations and entries "before tomorrow at midnight" and made no mention of the contest continuing in future weeks.
There has been some speculation that Romney would announce his choice prior to his international trip later this month.
Romney was at his home in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, on Saturday and his campaign announced no public events for the day.
I want dumb, inexperienced, unsuccessful, uneducated people to run our country so I can relate to them
Obama is 1%er. Why do people forget this? Why doesn't Obama run on his record? Because he doesn't have one. Are you better off than you were four years ago? Is gas cheaper than the day Obama took office? There's your answer.
Because the current pres has done a great job at holding wall street accountable.
Who cares who he picks. McCain looked at his taxes (23 years) and said "NOPE, I'm going with someone who will HELP more than hurt". HA HA HA HA HA HA
It sure will be a notch in the belt to be the loser's VP pick - NOT. He/she will be banned from politics forever.
Glad to see Mittens has the "everyman" Rolex on, the Datejust, the Presidential one would be too flashy and very "elitist"!
Wow, the pertinent information just keeps flowing from MItt's campaign.
I don't understand how being the CEO of a corporation who fired lots of Americans and shipped their jobs overseas in order to increase the bottom line for the stockholders qualifies you to be the leader of the free world!
Haha dreamer96, yeah right because that's any different from Obama, aka Mr. Wall St who received record funding from Wall St and who filled his administration with Wall St. Get your head out of the sand. Wake up from the false left right paradigm.
Dreamer – get over it. Every president in the history of our nation has been in the top 1%.
Of course – this is to distract from the Bain mess!

In other words... please send me money before I select someone that you disagree with – wrong gender, not religions enough, too religious, wrong religion, member of the tea party, not a member of the tea party, too dull, too controversial...etc.
How, again, is this relevent news? We all know Romney is teasing about his vp.
Romney is getting desperate, he has to stop the bleeding and change the narrative. He has been defined by the Obama campaign. He needs to gain control of the news cycle so he has to come out early with his vp choice, desperate.
Yeah.. Mitt will let the chosen ones know and his decision may trickle down to the rest of us. Hmmm... Something about that method seems a bit too familiar...
Why keep trotting out this Marco Rubio=Anchor Baby character? He has
nothing to say and basically no one gives =Running on Empty aka joke
to the GOP A Cuban on the ballot means nothing to the general
population of the Hispanic community.
Cubans have enjoyed a status not accorded to any other immigrant
group over time. In this work,Illegal Immigrants from Cuba: Preferential
Treatment
Of course no republican will say anything about this as most cubans tend to vote republican
Romney says he favors 'self-deportation
other vs. Cubans: Is There A Double Standard On Illegal Aliens?
This is nothing but a mere decoy to throw the media bloodhounds off the trail that leads straight to Romney's shady Bain business deals and specious tax returns.
How can he be choosing a VP to join the winning ticket when that position already belongs to Joe Biden.
Any one mr. Romney picks is going to lose, because is reluctant to release his tax return for the ten plus years.
He is a loser any way.

So much for all the "hope" and "we're going to do this a different way" hype. Obama has sold out to the same games and dirty politics that he criticizes every opponent for doing, except that he's lying. Suggesting that someone "may have committed a felony" is the lowest sort of politics. Mr. Obama, you have failed to follow through on anything promised in 2008 other that a very questionable health care act which should have come AFTER you offered policies to repair our economy. I don't know anyone in any business or profession who would be rehired for your record, or for your continual blaming of all negatives on the previous administration. You are 3.5 years into your term. By your own words, you should not be reelected. I voted for you last time; not this time.
romney voter are old people who still living in 80s and 90s and refused to believe we are living in a highly technical global market, and voters who just hate that their is black man running this country, that are willing to sit back and watch Congress doom our country, and they will be more than happy to accept that. mitten is all about big businesses, and big businesses, is all about making money at the lowest cost. why do you think romney pushing for NAFTA all over the world. which business,.wouldn't seize the opportunity to go to a country that didnt have to pay middle class workers wages.
Romney was born on third base and he thinks he hit a triple.
"Winning Ticket" What a joke! How about releasing your tax returns?
My prediction is Rubio, who is young enough that he can survive a Romney loss, or Portman, who is as boring as Romney and will not upstage Romney. Pawlenty is just as boring as Romney or Portman, but Pawlenty will not help Romney in a key state.
That is better than having a Chicago politician like we have now
Please please Rubio 🙂
Gosh it would be such a relief to have a 'Morning in America' and turn this horrible train wreck around via government reform and real solutions!
