Cairo (CNN) - Egyptian protesters threw tomatoes and shoes at U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's motorcade Sunday and shouted, "Monica, Monica, Monica" as she left the newly reopened U.S. Consulate in Alexandria.
Clinton said she was in Alexandria to answer critics who believe Washington has taken sides in Egyptian politics. There were already vocal protesters at the start of her visit to the consulate, forcing the ceremony to be moved inside.

Yelling insults will certainly help them win friends for their cause. I lived in that sewer for a year and left with no desire to return. The whole economic system is based on corruption and bribes. Enough American money has gone down that rat hole.
I'm no fan of Hillary Clinton. In fact I believe she is even less competent and unqualified for her job than Barack Obama. But the crass and inappropriate treatment here by some Egyptians is pathetic. I don't hold this against all Egyptians because the ones I know personally are amazing and really personable people. But apparently there is an element back in the homeland that can be disgusting...

This might be a good time to pull our troops out of the Multi-national Force and Observers in the Sinai and let Egyptians fend for themselves. The foriegn aid obviously isn't needed.
Egypt is heavily supported by tourism from the U.S. and these idiots are throwing tomatoes and shoes at our Secretary of State, they are going to need them to eat because they just killed their golden goose, tourism.
Let Egypt go it alone! Who gives a crap what happens to that radical, corrupt, festering sore on the back-side of the Mid-East? Israel has nukes! Why does our money go to either country? They have no oil and each would stab us in the back if given the chance. Enough of the ridiculous bickering between wide-eyed radicals from this part of the World. When we move to renewable energy we'll forget the names and locations of these piles of sand.
