Romney web video taken off YouTube

(CNN) – A web video posted by Mitt Romney's campaign on Monday was taken off YouTube later that same day.

Those wanting to click on the video were instead met with a message that read: "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by BMG_Rights_Management."

The video featured President Barack Obama singing Al Green lyrics "I'm so in love with you" to suggest that President Barack Obama only had "Lots Of Love For The Donor Class."

It was part of a new line of attack Team Romney launched Monday, suggesting Obama made decisions in office that helped his top political donors.

Responding to the YouTube take-down, Romney's campaign said they were prepared to defend the video.

"Our use was 100% proper, under fair use, and we plan to defend ourselves," a campaign official said.

This particular video came in direct response to a television ad released by the Obama campaign on Saturday. It featured Romney singing "America the Beautiful" while graphics flash the names of countries where the Obama campaign charges Romney either "shipped jobs," "outsourced," or stored portions of his financial portfolio.

- CNN National Political Correspondent Jim Acosta contributed to this report.

Lol there goes croney dems and the media again... Oh no, the truth hurts so hide the truth and take it off the web. Too many people are going to like and share it. We can't have that. Don't worry Obama, there are no jobs left in this country that Romney could outsource to other country's because you our president can't create jobs here period. We need a Romney for president for 2012/2016

Yet there are still hundreds of videos on YouTube of the exact same clip. Only difference? This incorporated a political ad with the clip. However, if it's claim of copyright infringement...all the videos need removed.

  5. Hey, Mittens, got any more of those 100K Bain jobs for doing nothing? 'Call Me, Maybe'?

Oh, boy, looks like Team Robme not only believes that following SEC rules only apply to the "little people" but has now decided the 1% can ignore those pesky copyright laws as well.

What a lawless world this would be IF Mr. 1% were ever elected President, all laws would just be "quaint suggestions".

Funny how it's the Romney camp that boasts of its fundraising on a daily, if not hourly basis. What a pathetic, miserable little man Willard Romney is.

  7. Mr 1% the "VULTURE CAPITALIST BUSINESSMAN" will outsource all the poor, disabled, unemployed and elderly, to China and sell America to the highest bidder!

"Our use was 100% proper, under fair use, and we plan to defend ourselves," a campaign official said.

More "if WE say it is right, then by God it is right" edicts handed down from Mount Kolob.

At least there was no feigned "disgust" and "this is beneath Youtube" blather.

The Lame, tone deaf, no rythm Pee Pot republicans fail to embrace the reality that trying to associate themselves with American music (hart & soul) is out of their reach; and artists and industry people shut them down every time they try and use or claim Kool music that they know nothing about.

Romney's team needs to learn to research copyrights before they arbitrarily pick songs to use, regardless of WHO sings them... The writer gets paid.

WOW! The Romney campaign can't even be original when going on the attack. Just use the same brand of attack that was lobbed at you. Now, that's pathetic. Kind of like their decision to shadow the president's campaign.

Not a very smart comeback. Better to love the donor class then to not like america at all. Sending jobs overseas shows NO LOVE for this country period, and thats what Romney did. And if Romney complains about negative ads, why are they responding the same way? Wow, that man does not stop being a hypocrite and a flip flopper.

Why should Romney be president if it was his investments that put the country the way it is? Like Obamas ad said, Romney is the problem, not the solution.
