(CNN) – A day after rival Mitt Romney stumps in Ohio, and three days after the president's trip to the state, Vice President Joe Biden will visit the key battleground to underscore manufacturing strides made there in the past three and a half years.
Biden will embark upon the "Made in Ohio Manufacturing Tour" beginning with an event at the Plumbers & Pipefitter Local Union in Columbus on Thursday. The visit is meant to "highlight the impact of President Obama's efforts to strengthen Ohio's manufacturing industry and bolster middle-class security for Ohio's workers," according to a release from Obama's campaign.

On Monday, Obama traveled to Cincinnati for the first town hall of his 2012 presidential campaign, taking questions and hitting Romney for his economic plan and business background.
"Governor Romney's experience has been investing in what were called 'pioneers' of the business of outsourcing," Obama said.
The crowd cheered when the president said his theory was different.
"I want to give tax breaks to companies right here in Ohio that are investing in Cincinnati, that are investing in Hamilton County. I want to give incentives to companies that are investing in you, the American people, to create American jobs making American goods that we're selling around the world, stamped with three proud words: Made in America."
On Wednesday, Romney will also travel to Ohio for a town hall in Bowling Green and a fundraiser in Canton.
Ohio, classified a "toss up" on CNN's Electoral Map, carries 18 electoral votes in November's general election.
Larry L - Think about Romney's typical crowd of rich, white, power mongers who gather in elite country clubs, plotting a way to encourage the under-educated masses of the Evangelical right-wing to vote for a spoiled fat-cat. Unions are working people.
Wow!! Obama supporters are real touchy about being owned by the lefty unions!! Thanks for the laugh about scheming country club people plotting to get rid of Obama. I'm sure you must have overheard them as you waited on their tables!
BTW, unions represent an ever declining number of people in this country. If all of the governemnt unions were disbanded, as they should be, there would be almost no union members. What is it now? Maybe 10-12% of the work force? Obama and Biden need to get out among the real people and not just his forced suppoerters and campaign contributors.
Now back to the table where Buffy awaits my arrival for further discourse about the Obama eradication plan. Cheerio, ta ta...
""""I'm not voting for a man who shipped American jobs to China & India.""""""
Then you should not be voting for Obama. Where do you think all his "green" jobs went? A little factoid that is purposely getting lost in the weeds.
when you are all making 10.00 dollars an hour and have little or no health coverage . Then you will be crying for union jobs. Everyone seems to forget why we have unions. And the people that fought and died to create them. People say we don't need them anymore but let the greedy ceos have their way and you will need them again. And in the near future. Repos would love to see them go. More profits for the wealthy. The middle class is disapearing. Big businees would love to see workers have no rights at all. Vote all repos out Obama Biden 2012
To Larry L .. first of all, we, President Obama's supporters, are not owned by the 'lefty' Unions .. we ARE the Unions! Get that through you cotton stuffed head! Once and for all .. Unions are made up of regular working people .. and there are a lot of people who are really well off financially, who are in Unions!
@judy, you need to do a little research. The unions were created by the mafia/organized crime. Whether it was the italians using the union front, or the irish. It is all a front for organized crime. The sooner the unions go away the better.
The jobs in my great Buckeye State Ohio have been outsourced to China for years and during the Bush years these people were put in the soup lines. President Obama has bought back jobs to them which they so deserve and they don't need or want a Romney as President to outsource them again, Ohioians are honest and hard working people and I'm proud to be one of them.
