Biden back to Ohio

(CNN) – A day after rival Mitt Romney stumps in Ohio, and three days after the president's trip to the state, Vice President Joe Biden will visit the key battleground to underscore manufacturing strides made there in the past three and a half years.

Biden will embark upon the "Made in Ohio Manufacturing Tour" beginning with an event at the Plumbers & Pipefitter Local Union in Columbus on Thursday. The visit is meant to "highlight the impact of President Obama's efforts to strengthen Ohio's manufacturing industry and bolster middle-class security for Ohio's workers," according to a release from Obama's campaign.

On Monday, Obama traveled to Cincinnati for the first town hall of his 2012 presidential campaign, taking questions and hitting Romney for his economic plan and business background.

"Governor Romney's experience has been investing in what were called 'pioneers' of the business of outsourcing," Obama said.

The crowd cheered when the president said his theory was different.

"I want to give tax breaks to companies right here in Ohio that are investing in Cincinnati, that are investing in Hamilton County. I want to give incentives to companies that are investing in you, the American people, to create American jobs making American goods that we're selling around the world, stamped with three proud words: Made in America."

On Wednesday, Romney will also travel to Ohio for a town hall in Bowling Green and a fundraiser in Canton.

Ohio, classified a "toss up" on CNN's Electoral Map, carries 18 electoral votes in November's general election.

Joe's going to rip into Willard again. I love an attack dog that packs a vicious bite. Willard, pressure busts pipes. You better release those taxes soon or you can call it quits. I hope you don't think Joe is going to let up on you.

Does Obama and Biden EVER speak to people that are NOT union??? Look at all of their audiences and you will see that almost all are unions. It pretty much tells you who owns the Democrat Party these days.

If Obama didn't have a golden tounge ... his lack of success in dealing with the economy would have burried him. But all lies and missdeeds eventually catch up ... His sagging numbers after a weeks attack on Romney seems to indicate that his day has come.

The VP won't be visiting with the Longaberger family. Many of the once "Made in the USA" (Ohio) Longaberger products are now "Made in China". The Longaberger family are longtime, bigtime contributors to the GOP. I wonder how much $ was lost when their loyal customers, proud to have made in the USA products, decided that the "Made in China" label was not something they want to spend their hard earned money on. And I wonder how many were put on the unemployed list because of their outsourcing! Just wondering.

And then he wants to regulate you into submission, force you to pay millions more for healthcare or pay fines, and then tax you at the highest rates on the planet. But don't let any of that interfere with your business! Obama is a real joke when it comes to talking about businesses. It is painfully obvious he is as clueless as they come, which is why we are where we are after 4 years of his cluelessness.

Yes they do. I was at the POTUS' rally on Friday in Hampton and I'm not a union worker and neither are my two coworkers who came with me. You don't have to be a union member to understand who is fighting for the middle class and who is not. The choice is clear. Willard's company was a "pioneer" in job outsourcing. Currently, the manufacturing industry is coming back stronger. I'm not voting for a man who shipped American jobs to China & India.

Yawn. And you will no doubt be back here to say the exact same thing about Hollywood or large financial institutions or civil rights groups or whoever it is next time, because no, it's not only unions that they speak in front of...that's just yuor confirmation bias causing you to confabulate.

"It is painfully obvious he is as clueless as they come, which is why we are where we are after 4 years of his cluelessness."

The only thing painfully obvious is that you really have no mastery whatsoever over the facts or the subject material and have instead opted for regurgitating what you're told as the easy way out.

Then it doesn't sound like you are voting for Obama. Do your homework and find out how many foreign jobs your tax dollars went to thanks to Obama's stimulus plan. Obama has done nothing about jobs going overseas and I doubt he can do anything about it. Welcome to a global economy. I'm just curious, do you refuse to buy cheap clothes made overseas? If not then you are part of the problem.

Look at who Mitt Romney talks to. Oops, that's right. We don't know. They meet behind closed doors. When he does speak in public, look at who's in the audience, an endangered species.

You want to give tax breaks to companies in Ohio but just give millions to places like Africa so they can start up their own businesses.

Obama does not outsource jobs he just gives countries money so they can start their own companies.

Wonder why people are more concerned with what Romney does with his money that what Obama does with their money. OH, that's right, about half the people don't give the government any money to begin with.

Really? Really?? I'm not going to list the dozens of speaches and meetings that Obama and Biden have had with non-union groups, but I do want to point out that this is a perfect example of the extreme silliness of the right. I would say that it must be nice to live in a fact-free, reality-free, logic-free world, but I would never want to and we should never let people who do have a lot of influence on public policy.

Do you ever think before writing? Think about Romney's typical crowd of rich, white, power mongers who gather in elite country clubs, plotting a way to encourage the under-educated masses of the Evangelical right-wing to vote for a spoiled fat-cat. Unions are working people. Do you really want to go there?

Why not?! Go for it. But just about EVERY CNN Ticker story that shows Obama or Biden has them meeting with UNIONS. Is Obama and Biden afraid to speak and meet people that aren't koolaide drinkers that send him millions in forced dues? I guess they want to avoid those unscripted moments like Joe the Plumber where Obama actually gives the American people a glimpse into who he truly is.

Dean – "Wonder why people are more concerned with what Romney does with his money that what Obama does with their money. OH, that's right, about half the people don't give the government any money to begin with."
    *********************************************************************************
That line wasn't that cleaver the first time we all heard it. The GOP have been terrible stewards of our money, much worse that the Dems. The only Administration to run a surplus in 40 years was Clinton – and only took Bush a few years to turn those surpluses into the largest deficits in U.S. history. The deficit has gone down every year since Obama took office (please no posts that show you don't know the difference between the deficit and the national debt). Yes, we still have massive annual deficts, but we still have high military expenses, almost no politicians have the gumption to touch Social Security or Medicare, and the GOP are all slaves to the Norquist pledge.

And while I not worried about what Romney did with his money, I am concerned about how he handled his business and personal finances says about his character, priorities, and patriotism – and what I have seen so far isn't very encouraging. He should release his returns for at least 5 years and better yet, all the way back to 1999 – and if he doesn't, we should just say NO to Mitt Romney.

Lets just have Bussinesses & Corporations open all over the country and let them do whatever they want like Pay what they feel is nessissary at a minimum, dismiss working conditions, hours you work an so on.....we can just live like the Chinese and the people in Mexico with total polution and Disease everywhere.Thats exactly what they would like. These companys that are in other countrys could careless about the people and are interested in 1 thing only...PROFIT and Cheap labor...............Money for POWER,.........Power for Control............Control for Dominance over FREEDOMS & RIGHTS period.

@Failure – You know what is clueless, someone who thinks we are taxed at the highest rates on the planet. Our effective tax rates put us in the middle of the pack compared to other first-world nations. With a little research (outside the right wing reality free bubble), you could be much better informed – but I'm sure you don't really want to.

Oh, and where we are is WAY BETTER than where we were four years ago. Perhaps you can't remember (or more likely don't want to) just how close our economy came to a complete meltdown in 2008.

The bigger problem here is the fact that the country is seemingly reliant upon manufacturing jobs – we all need to accept the fact that we live in a global economy. China (or other outsource nations) isn't the problem, WE are the problem. Jobs are outsourced because we demand cheap and poor quality products, okay – accept it.

Why aren't we focused on education in our country? Accept that manufacturing to a large degree is gone and not coming back – get an education and focus on useful skills, not low skilled jobs. Why aren't we investing in educating our nation for R&D, high-tech, med/pharm, finance, skilled trades, etc? The "faux" middle class is gone and until we embrace it and reinvent ourselves, this pathetic infighting will continue. Accept it for what it is and find a solution!

Someone on this string just referenced Joe the Plumber. That's rich. I guess someone who is supporting a seriar liar and flip flopper like Romney would like Joe the Plumber, who is not named Joe, is not a licensed plumber, and complained about having to pay taxes in a bracket he will never be in – the perfect GOTP moron. Thanks for the belly laugh.
