(CNN) - As presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney stumps in Ohio Wednesday, one of his top surrogates will be campaigning on his behalf about 120 miles away from the candidate's event.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will hold an event in Columbus Wednesday afternoon. Romney, meanwhile, will hold a town hall in Bowling Green and a fund-raiser in Canton.

Jindal is widely speculated to be on a list of potential vice presidential choices for Romney.
Romney's campaign says Jindal will take part in a tour and business roundtable at the headquarters of the fast food chain White Castle around 3pm. He then goes to the Romney campaign office to meet campaign workers and hold a "Repeal and Replace" rally. He will also attend a fund-raiser for U.S. Senate candidate Josh Mandel.
On Monday, President Barack Obama traveled to Cincinnati for the first town hall of his 2012 presidential campaign, taking questions and hitting Romney for his economic plan and business background.
Vice President Joe Biden will make the trip to the state Thursday to embark upon the "Made in Ohio Manufacturing Tour," beginning with an event at the Plumbers & Pipefitter Local Union in Columbus. The visit is meant to "highlight the impact of President Obama's efforts to strengthen Ohio's manufacturing industry and bolster middle-class security for Ohio's workers," according to a release from Obama's campaign.
Ohio, classified a "toss up" on CNN's Electoral Map, carries 18 electoral votes in November's general election.

Another red-state governor with his hand out. LA receives more federal $ than they send in. Nice to see Jindal and his cohorts used the stim money to balance their budgets rather than trying to put people to work: isn't it great to see the righties use the federal government to cover up their own failures? Maybe Jindall should be on the ticket, since he's the perfect symbol of how Mitt sent jobs out of the country...that will send the white, rightie Christians over the cliff.
Jindal must have hopped on Perry’s Tour of Iowa bus and somehow ended up in Ohio.
Dear Mr. Jindal – Louisiana called – they need their governor – in state doing his job!
Is he also going to lead all the GOPers/Teatrolls in a rousing prayer meeting begging god for the safe preservation of the GOP/Teatrolls' legislation that got rid of the 3 day early voting period in order to further attenuate voter turnout in a manner that would have more effect on Dems than GOPers? Boy I hope so. I mean, if there's anyone out there who doesn't want all them brownies voting, it's god himself.
So, I wonder what this "surrogate" will say to embarrass Rob-money? So far, he's doing pretty badly with the comments from Sununu and McCain. I imagine Jindal has the potential to really stick his foot in his mouth.
If Rob-money could just get Michele Bachmann to stump for him, I think we could wrap this campaign up early and go home.
Yeah, great. Let's move the country in the direction of Louisiana. Pyush Jendal has done such a great job of keeping LA near the top of everything, hasn't he? He would make a tremendous VP...for romney!
Why White Castle? Why not a 7-11?
These republican bafoon party idiots just make the Gop. Cancer on America bafoon party look worse and worse if that's possible. Romnycare the clown ,where your tax returns, ten years worth ,nobodys is going to vote for you . One% of the vote is all you get if your still around after the Gop bafoon party convention in Tampa .romney s going to take the whole Gop bafoon party down the toilet with him ,ya ya ya .
Morons ,plain and simple !!!!
Rather than campaigning, why not give us a report on the BP clean up. I'm tired of seeing BP commercials talking about how they're doing a good job. That's info the public should be getting from public officials GOVERNOR.
Oh neato...Booby Jingle at a "repeal and replace" rally!!! Is he going to suggest that we replace the ACA with a raided health care fund, just like he did to the LA state employee health care fund? $500M GONE...POOF! But have no fear...he'll certainly take credit for good things that came out of it that never really happened! And who will care anyway? It's just state employees and everyone resents them anyway, right? So it's obviously safe to screw them comlpetely to gain political traction and enact your ideology, right? Go go Booby Jingle!
please be sure to bring your birth certificate with you...the LONG version of course.

Wow... the heat must have you ODing on the koolaide! So you think a governor can just call companies up and order them to hire people? I think that only works in Cuba and North Korea. Sounds like you might be from Cuba.
Obama sent money to the states to keep all the union government workers employed, for a little while, until the fed money ran dry and the states eventually had to do what they should have done in the first place, cut back. End result is you still have unemployed state workers but now the federal government has $800 BILLION in debt with nothing to show for it. It called flushing money down the union tiolet.
Obama is a Harvard elitest that never took a finance or economics course and thinks he can reshape the entire world and how it works if he can just throw enough money at it. He's clueless.
Bobby , Bobby Bobby ,
That's make every state 48th in education , just like yours !
Louisiana
Dear Mitt Romney and the Romney Campaign People:
Please show a little thought went into the process and pick Bobby Jindal as the VP nominee. His state is 50th in the nation in just about every category they keep statistics for, and you and Romney will naturally need to pick a VP candidate that won't make him look so bad as the governor of Massachusetts. So, of course, you'll need to start at 47th in the nation and work your way down. We wouldn't want the VP to outshine the top of the ticket, would we?
Ah Dude, you had the repub spotlight for half a minute. Time to pack it up and realize nothing is coming your way no matter what you say for Robmey.
"Wow... the heat must have you ODing on the koolaide! So you think a governor can just call companies up and order them to hire people? I think that only works in Cuba and North Korea. Sounds like you might be from Cuba."
Hey, genius, what he meant was that sane governance recognizes that hiring employees to work for the government in some useful capacity...even if it's just laying roads or fixing bridges...helps keep more people emplyed and able to afford their living expenses and therefore contributing to the economy and demand, which in turn helps stabilize the economy and demand and helps us survive a recession. Denying it is no good because the historical record supports this kind of Keynesian approach across the board. Instead, he just balanced the budget and did things like raid an exceptionally successfully managed public employee health care fund in order to give himself even more money to do that...after firing the guy who so successfully managed and greqw the fund of course. He did it all because that's what his ideology dictated, along with the strategy mandated by the GOP establishment that said all GOPers/Teatrolls must avoid doing anything whatsoever to actually help the economy while there's a Dem in the WH.
They say, "never trust an Indian." Jindal has solidified that stereotype!
They say, "never trust an Indian." Jindal upholds that_stereotype!
I see that the flip flopper is bringing out the brown people to support him, mr. mardi gras himself.
Can we see both their long form birth certifricates? Can these people find anyone who is NOT a LOSER???
We do not need him in Louisiana. You can have him. But he will be back once he smart up and see Romney is just using him. He's not very smart, It's the not so smart people in LA that voted for him.
Show us your taxes M.R.!
..
Hey, this guy has no chance of helping WILLARD MITTHOUSE ROMNEY -
.
where is SARAH DARLIN' ?
Some Idiot above writes:
"Obama is a Harvard elitest..."
Romney often critcizes Harvard in his stump speech. I guess he thinks his supporters are stupid, and maybe he's right. I guess his supporters are ignorant of his own Harvard ties and that he has not 1 but 2 degrees from Harvard himself. He also sent his money to Harvard to send 3 of his children there. Romney and his immediate family have spent a combined total of 16 years at Harvard to Obama's 3. Maybe Romney supporters just don't realize the kind of man it takes to criticize a guy for something like that. Maybe they're just such idiots that they don't recognize the hypocrisy of it all.
Romney just keeps hammering away at Harvard elitists like he and his family are any different. I guess he thinks his supporters are stupid, and for once I happen to agree with him.
Jindal looks sickly and puny. Somebody help this character, he's lost his way.
