Boehner says president 'doesn't give a damn about the middle class Americans'

(CNN) - House Speaker John Boehner has recently stepped up criticism of President Barack Obama, but his comments Wednesday were particularly harsh, saying the president "doesn't give a damn about the middle class Americans who are out there looking for work."

"What he's trying to do is distract the American people in order to win his own reelection," Boehner asserted.

The House speaker pushed back on calls for GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney to release more tax returns, calling the issue a "sideshow" Democrats designed to draw people's attention away from the president's handling of the economy.

"The American people are asking where are the jobs? They're not asking where in the hell the tax returns are," Boehner told reporters on Capitol Hill.

But when the speaker was pressed that some Republicans, including some in the House, are also urging Romney to release more financial information, Boehner brushed it off, insisting, "It's not about the tax returns, it's about the economy. The American people vote with their wallets."

  2. IF YOU SIGNED GROVER'S PLEDGE, YOU ARE A TRAITOR TO THE U.S.

No, we're asking you!!! WHERE ARE THE JOBS??? Your fascist republican regime in Congress is unAmerican and members who signed Grover's pledge should be tried for treason. I've seen more abortion bills from the 112th Congress than I've seen jobs bills. So I ask again Weeper Boehner, WHERE ARE THE JOBS???

Boehner has no room to talk. Since this President's election, his party has clearly indicated their sole priority was 'taking Obama down'. To that end they have stalled the recovery, damaged our credit rating and have willfully damaged this country.
The GOP deserves no regard, no power and certainly no seats in government. It is time for them to go away and a new party to take their place.

Disgusting....It is the Republicans who gleefully stomp on the throats of the middle class and the poor. Boehner's statement will come back to haunt him, and the party of Genocide Over Policy (GOP) in November.

The American people are asking where are the jobs?

Yeah good question, Boner. Where's that laser focus on jobs the GOP promised in 2010?

Well Tan Man, who are you going to align yourself with?......the head in the sand/fingers in the ears/"LaLaLaLa, I can't hear you" crowd or the growing number of people in your party that are realizing that unless Flip gives the returns his chances are NIL?

Talk about projecting onto others. Boehner is the one diverting another sideshow here while holding middle class tax cuts hostage again.

If Romney gave a damn about the middle class he'd pay full taxes on those off-shore accounts. If millionaires weren't able to hide there money, and if legislators hadn't made our tax laws so easy to evade we wouldnt have a deficit. we could afford health care for everyone. we could afford to put people to work. Romney has benefited from the infrastructure that the US built and he has abused it like so many others.

But, Taxes are for the middle class i guess

Finally we can get back to those that are unemployed and struggling to put food on the table. Does Obama care that retail sales were down for the 3rd month? All Obama talks about is bigger government, government getting more money from us, government employees need more money, like teachers. Do teachers even remember that their salaries are paid by us the taxpayers? Does Obama remember that his own paycheck is paid by us the taxpayers? Does anyone working in government remember they are Public Servants??? What about the people standing in the unemployment line, sending resumes, attending work seminars???? what about the businesses whose sales have dropped, can barely make payroll, pay the rent, permits, local taxes, state taxes?? I just got my tax bill for my business. Obama has no idea about the economy, he just dreams, truly Obama is a charmer and dreamer.

Everyone knows who does'nt give a damn about the middle class Mr. Boehner! it is the GOP in the congress who constantly object to everything that the president proposes for the middle class. Your plan is to keep them frustrated until November and hope to win the WH and the congress and then dump them to make your rich cronies even richer.

Then how about you get to work on a job's bill rather than trying to repeal Obamacare for the 34th time?

Your just lying, JB, to try to change the subject regarding Mittens "Papers Please" Romney. Let's see if we can get more Republicans to say outrageous things just to cover for Mitt!! Nice try. Cry us a river next time John..

    Papers please, Mitt!

Let's see we add jobs every month in spite of the weapy orange guy and his friends and these are the same guys who put us in this pickle but it's the Presidents fault some people are still out of work. Remember Mitt and the boys consider minimum wage at Staples a job, and there are no benefits. The President is aiming a little higher. How about we follow a plan that actually has worked through infrastructure improvements which create jobs now, and facilitate jobs in the future? No they want to trickle down on us some more.

Boehner, got it right, as anyone can see Obama has nothing to run on, so he is trying to make thia about Romney. However the Public is not buying it. Americas have realized with trillions in debt, unemployment still at 8%. A faltering ecomony that is regressing again, Obama Care, and stimlus payments to his buddies he has nothing to show after 4 years except failure. Obama a lousy President, we deserve better. Vote Romney 2012 for a better and brighter America.

"It's not about the tax returns, it's about the economy. The American people vote with their wallets"

and the GOP is bought by the 1% Wallets!!

Obama is going to win, plain and simple. I wouldn't be surprised to see the house go Dem again, and for the Sen to remain Dem.

Everytime a GOP member complains or votes to repeal ACA, the more votes go to the Dems, people thought it was all about Jobs Jobs Jobs, and voted the GOP in, but when they got there, they found out its all about THEIR jobs jobs jobs, which is to make Obama a 1 term pres.

Its you Beohner that doesn't give a damn about the Middle class, and if i am wrong.........which i may be........remember this......Actions speak louder then words, and right now, the GOPs Actions are screaming, just for all the wrong reasons.

So I guess Mr. Boehner and the republicans care about the middle class. Listen the proof is in the pudding. The republicans policies tell the story. The republicans policies are for the rich and at least President Obama policies will help the middle class more than theirs. At the end of the day, they are all politiicans and are out to keep their jobs, but the republicans HATE the middle class and don't care who knows it!
