Obama hits high-dollar fund-raiser

White House (CNN) - President Barack Obama raised a cool one-and-a-half million dollars in just under an hour on Wednesday, meeting with 25 high dollar donors at Washington’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

A Democratic campaign official tells a pool reporter each of the 25 attendees donated at least $60,000 a piece to be split between the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties. Just last month the Obama campaign lamented it was out fundraised by the Romney campaign. The presumed Republican nominee announced he raised $100 million dollars in June compared to just $71 million raised by President Obama.

I'm with you, President Obama. My husband's with you. My sister is with you. My friends are with you. Yes, we
live in a 'red' state, but we are here, and we won't let you down. Why would we want to change when you have
brought us out of the pit of regression .. when you have helped the Auto Industry until they got back on their
feet running .. when you have helped so many people without jobs .. when you work every day to keep us
from falling backward, but are taking us slowly, but surely forward to where we want and need to be, to be once
again, a nation to be proud of. Thank you, President Obama.

It's going to take one mighty big pile of money to buy his way around 3 1/2 years of miscues, bad bets, broken promises and having no plan forward except more of the same. He had better find a much larger room of suckers with money to waste if he even intends to make a respectable showing in November. The shellacking will be completed. If these Democratic donors really wanted any participation in Washington starting in 2013 they would be better off trying to keep a few Democratic Senators in town because at best they can possibly avoid a Republican filibuster-proof supermajority.

It must be nice to spend your day going to parties and brunches and dinners in your honor. Yeah, that's not going to inflate his ego. Also, you get paid a salary for a job you rarely ever go to!

CNN, is your article saying Obama goes to the Ultra Rich, Corporate Evil Profit makers to Plunder when raising half a billion dollars? I thought you guys keep reporting Obama is "fighting for the Middle Class"? Then why is Obama neglecting his base while raising funds? Hey, aren't you CNN Guys Advertising "Keeping them Honest" is your goal?
Take today for instance, how many minutes on your News hours have been dedicated to reporting Romney Campaign members making statements against Obama, and how many "Keeping them Honest" stories are you running on Obama? I think the answer to this question shows you biais towards keeping Obama in office. Who is Keepiny YOU honest, CNN?
