Romney reacts to Bulgaria 'terrorist attack'

(CNN) – Reacting to the deadly explosion on a bus carrying Israeli tourists in Bulgaria, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday released the following statement:

"The terrorist attack today in Bulgaria is a sobering reminder that the scourge of terrorism continues to threaten all free people. My heart goes out to the victims and their families, and to all Israelis who have been the targets of such brutal and cowardly violence for so long. We must stand together in the fight against terrorism, and we must prevail."

While key Israeli politicians pointed to Iran as the likely instigator, Romney made no mention of the country in his response.

It will be interesting to see what the Obama Administration does here. Do not be surprised if they come out on the side of the bomber and plead for restraint and calmness from Israel.

I'm sure Romney and Cheney are hoping for more.

Buy cheep , sell high !

I say that with sorrow , yet little men with inflated egos need to move to the island of St Helena.

Mitt doesn't often say the right thing, but this one he got. No political twist, no accusations to get in the way. Sorry for the victims, terrorists are bad, look sort of presidential, and on to the next stop.

@Four What else are the voices telling you, exactly? Whatever meds you're supposed to be taking, I think you forgot a dose.

When has President Obama EVER shown ANY sympathy for terrorists?! Last time I checked, he was the one who gave the order to violate Pakistan's border, shoot him in the face, and dump his body in the middle of the ocean. Is that what you call restraint? ;P

This is the problem with the nuts on the Republican right today. They've erected the ultimate straw man. They've painted this imaginary portrait of President Obama that doesn't even remotely align with reality.

  10. Please Keep Talking About Foreign Affairs

Dear Mitt Romney: Please keep talking about foreign affairs and highlighting your absolute zero experience and lack of knowledge pertaining to the anything regarding the subject matter.

We have one POTUS at a time, and although I am sure that you and your wife would disagree, it is not your time.

    Please release your taxes.

You don't understand. Obama is brown. That alone tells the GOP/Teatrolls hivemind that he's sympathetic to terrorists.

  13. We Must Prevail

Hey Mittens, let me explain to you the way this President thing works.

First you have to become the Republican nominee, then you have to prevail at the voting booth, and then you get to be presidential. Until then, all these statements you make are just self-serving crap.

Until you actually manage to win the job, which I highly doubt you can, why don't you just shut it.

President Barack Obama said today the US would send $400m of aid to the Palestinian territories following 10 days of international focus on Gaza, which Israel has blockaded for more than three years.

That's because they KNOW they can't win against the real President Obama. They have to create a fake one to criticize. That and many of them are just plain bat-sheet crazy.

Before Romney can start a war, the first thing he'd do is millions pulled out of all those "Blind Trust accounts" that are invested in every country, otherwise they'll be frozen just like Gadafi's.

What has Romney done with regards to foreign policy? I don't know that his company experience can really count since it was just shipping jobs to other country. This is just like Palin; she has no foreign policy experience except looking out and her state being next to Russia.
