GOP senators block top Obama jobs initiative

Washington (CNN) - Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked the No.1 item on the president's congressional "to-do-list," refusing to allow a vote on a bill that would give tax breaks for companies that "insource" jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad.

In voting against the bill, Republicans raised both substantive and procedural problems with the measure.

It's now out in the open as to who really doesn't want to work for the American people.
GOP wants to keep people like Mitt fat and happy with the profits he can soak up by outsourcing American jobs. This will not go over well in November. Down ticket GOPers are now toast.

This one of the many reasons republicans are going down in November.

IF they had any sense at all, they would start to vote on some of the president's bills and make it clear that they are against (HIS bills) – but are trying to work for the common good of the American people. That way, should it fail, they could say "we told you his plans were no good for the economy" but we compromised so you could see for yourself. Fearful, his ideas would work (as they have been), they would NEVER get back in control and they know this. Why are they so fearful?

Didn't just yesterday Speaker Boehner claim that President Obama didn't give a (bleep) about the middle class.....and he is always saying the GOP is interested in JOBS....JOBS...JOBS? There is a very serious misconnect here somewhere.

This is not news. The GOP stategies, is a siple one. Block everythig that the President wanted to do in order to make him a one-term President. If they passed the job bill, then it will be jobs, if there are jobs then the unployment will go down, if unployment is down then thy have nothing to campaign on. They have no visions for this country except to enrich their pockets. It's a shame, these GOP are corrupted, they against anything that is good for the country.

Most Americans believe that the GOP has obstructed the President for political gain.

Wow, the bright bulbs that make up the GOP in the Senate have struck folks are digging a very deep hole that you won't be able to dig yourselves out of come November. Where are the jobs (via constructive jobs bills) that were promised by your party? I refuse to vote for one Republican this election because of all your nonsense the last few years. You only did it to yourselves!!!

    Brass tacks:

"OMG!! All our jobs are going overseas because our corporate tax rate is (allegedly) so high!!!"

"OMG!! Let's block this legislation that cuts taxes for businesses that bring jobs home from overseas!!!"

At this point, I think it is 100% safe to say that NOBODY in the country actually believes the crap the GOP/Teatrolls say to justify their behavior. They have now proven beyond a shadow of any doubt that they are simply out to block and obstruct anything Obama and the Dems do to try to help the country in order to leave the economy a mess and be able to blame them for it...and also to prevent Obama and the Dems for being able to take credit for anything good that might happen. NOBODY believes otherwise anymore. NOBODY. Even the people who supoprt the GOP/Teatrolls understand this...they just support this crap because they're either part of the 1% or a racist partisan jackhole (or both).

Oh wait a minute – that was 2010 and the Republicans needed to get elected. This is now – and we can't have any new jobs because that would prove that the President's ideas are working.

Honestly I hope all of them are voted out, they've done nothing to assist the American people since being voted in"UNFORTUNATELY" (Which is what happens when you listen to scare tactics instead obtaining the facts for yourselves). All I can say is "Open your eyes and stop believing everything the GOP tells you". They will do anything to win. Rural America, you guys will be struck the hardest if Republicans even remotely touched the Presidency. They are in NO WAY, for the PEOPLE!!

Darryl–Harry Reid is the obstructionist; 29 jobs bills passed by the House are "on the table" forced there by Reid without any consideration or vote allowed.

@ Ed1----- WHAT?!!! Are you crazy or what dude? Pay attention to what's going on; you are clearly brainwashed too, hopeless. But, you'll learn, especially if Republicans manage to get back into the WH; which is actually a LONGSHOT considering your boy Mitt is quite questionable, even by Republican standards.

    To Ed1,

I am worried for your safety, as there appears to be a gas leak near your computer. Please dial 911 as soon as possible for your own safety.

The entire article is about how the GOP killed a bill that would give a tax cuts to companies that bring jobs back from overseas, and increase taxes on the corporations that ship our jobs overseas.

As you can see this makes your comment, regardless of terrible punctuation and basic grammar errors, incredibly stupid.
