Washington (CNN) – The day before Mitt Romney makes a highly publicized trip to Israel, President Barack Obama on Friday signed a bill passed by Congress designed to increase security ties with the Jewish state.
Both the timing of Friday's event and the presence of TV cameras opened the White House to accusations of political maneuvering in a presidential election year.

You know if it was not an election year, he would have vetoed it. As far as saying something stupid,"you did not build that." And Californians thing Romney is an idiot? Romney was not the guy who gave a trillion dollars worth of tax money to dope addicts, welfare frauds and corrupt union bosses and then told us that because he did, unemployment would not rise above 8%, nor is he the one who declared that the 2010 was the "summer of prosperity" Get off the dope woman.
Mitten walked right into this one not knowing and understanding President Obama and other Presidents have always sent funds to Israel to aid in their defense spending. In fact, I believe it was Nixon who publically announced when he sent aircraft to Israel for their use. It doesn't surprise me that Romney doesn't know the history of U.S. support by Presidents to Israel, he wasn't interested.

Well, wasn't it Congress who recently voted on and passed the bill? The president has changed his schedule completely around over the past 7 days. How come Republicans didn't accuse the president of skullduggery when he suddenly went to Colorado? Maybe the plan was to sign the bill earlier, but the president changed his schedule. Maybe this was the first day that all of the folks looking on could get back together for a ceremony. Romney's trip has turned into a walking, talkling nightmare.

Indeed. I'm sure there's plenty they can talk about on foreign soil that they technically can't talk about on US soil, in light of campaign finance rules and such.

Adelson going to Israel with Romney only means one thing, Romney can't diss the President on foreign soil but Adelson can but Romney should be held responsible.

Romney is traipsing all over Europe hoping for political photo-ops (while making an absolute a$$ of himself) and Obama gets called out for "political" maneuverings by simply being the current President of the United States and signing into law that which was recently passed by our Congress?

Passed by Congress and signed by the President – that's how it works folks – not that we've seen much of lately so it's good to have cameras to remind us what it looks like. Maybe if the GOP were not such obstructionists we wouldn't need the cameras to remind us what cooperation looks like.
