Rep. Jesse Jackson being treated at Mayo Clinic for depression

(CNN) - Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is at the Mayo Clinic undergoing an "extensive inpatient evaluation for depression and gastrointestinal issues," the congressman said in a statement released Friday via the hospital.

The Illinois Democrat and son of the Rev. Jesse Jackson, the civil rights leader, has not been on Capitol Hill since late May. Earlier in July - one month after announcing he was on a leave of absence due to a "medical condition" - the congressman's office released a statement saying he was "receiving intensive medical treatment at a residential treatment facility for a mood disorder."

How many hateful comments will this generate? The right-wing normally shows their true colors when a Democrat, especially and African American, experiences any misfortunate situation. The "Christian" comes out in them...

Get well soon! We all experience depression at times and all of us can use a little help when it happens.

You would be depressed also, if your father called himself a Preacher and along with Sharpton, Wright are the biggest race batters in this country. If they would not have that, they would be out of a job and the limelight.
