Washington (CNN) – A group of conservative black pastors are responding to President Barack Obama’s support of same-sex marriage with what they say will be a national campaign aimed at rallying black Americans to rethink their overwhelming support of the President, though the group’s leader is offering few specifics about the effort.
The Rev. Williams Owens, who is president and founder of the Coalition of African-Americans Pastors and the leader of the campaign, has highlighted opposition to same-sex marriage among African-Americans. He calls this campaign “an effort to save the family.”

Everyday the left show its hypocrisy. They had no problem listening to Rev Wright bash America and tell blacks how to vote. But when the shoe is on the other foot call black conservatives bigots because they tell people how to vote. The left IS what's wrong with this country.
To American -Our population doubles every 25 years, not having the ability to produce a child because of being in a samegendered relationship is not a negative to our society. Having the want to adopt a child (because there are millions of orphans-famine, wars, disease ect.) because of reproduction inability is a plus to our society.

Obama is a trash president and shouldn't be elected to serve another 4 year term but, his stance on gay marriage is correct.
The only 4 year term Obama should be serving is in a prison.

Nobody is asking for laws that restrict Christians' rights. NOBODY. It in no way restricts your right to be Christian ro believe and worship as you do for the government to recognize a private marital contract between two gay people and grant them the same tax breaks and legal rights as a married couple. There's absolutely no argument that it does that holds any water.

When are these black pastors going to get control of the unwed mothers in the black communities? What are they doing about that to preserve the family? Exactly what hate are they spreading here? Because I dont see it. Liberals are so quick to throw out the word "hate" when they disagree with a lifestyle that they consider a sin. I think you have a lot to learn of Christian beliefs.
The black community is struggling through the impact of the Great Recession, African American children face unsafe communities where sometimes just walking to school is life threatening, once arriving at school black children are fighting against the impact of low expectations, schools are unsafe and crumbling, teachers are unqualified, AIDS/HIV is an increasing threat to the black community, large numbers of black Americans do not have health care, too many black children are being raised in single parent homes.... the list of needs within the black community could go on and on .... and gay marriage is what a few black pastors have decided should be their focus. Incredible, pathetic, and heartbreaking.
I wish I could be a fly on the celestial wall when all these people purporting to be 'religious' and "Christian' show up at the Heavenly Gates for their 'reward'. Boy, are they in for a shock! God doesn't like ugly....
