Romney aide loses cool, curses at press in Poland

Warsaw, Poland (CNN) - The traveling press secretary for Mitt Romney lost his cool and cursed at reporters who attempted to ask questions of the Republican presidential candidate in a public plaza near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw Tuesday.

After Romney paid his respects to Poland's war dead and shook hands with a small gathering of the nation's military veterans, the GOP contender walked approximately 100 yards away from the memorial as he chatted with Warsaw's mayor.

As Romney made his way to his vehicle, reporters attempted to shout questions to the candidate. The former Massachusetts governor, who has answered only three questions from his traveling press corps during a week-long overseas trip, ignored the queries. Romney did sit down for multiple interviews during his foreign swing, including with CNN's Piers Morgan and Wolf Blitzer. Romney also spoke with NBC News, CBS News, ABC News and Fox News during his trip.

When members of the press tried to ask Romney about some of the mishaps on his trip, his traveling press secretary Rick Gorka verbally dressed down reporters.

Here's a transcript of the questions and Gorka's response:

CNN: "Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?

Washington Post: "What about your gaffes?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?"

CNN: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press!

Gorka: "Show some respect"

NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..."

Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."

Moments later, Gorka told Jonathan Martin, a reporter for Politico, to "shove it." About a half-hour later, the aide called reporters to apologize.

Gorka's comments to the media came just hours before Romney's foreign policy speech in Warsaw.

Aides to the GOP candidate say Romney visited Poland to highlight the nation's growing economy and honor its contributions to the war in Afghanistan.

Yeah...this is the crew that "denied" the Anglo-Saxon remark. Of this, this one only a day or so after the insults he left on his trip to Israel.

Transparency, openness, engagement. Reminds me of the other Republican mantra: Jobs Jobs Jobs...... A third should be "Pants on Fire...."

    Boy, what a classy bunch....
Do we really want this joker representing the USA. If this guy was president he'd create World War III in about 20 minutes on the job.

What a joke. Obviously he's not ready for the big stage.

Im not surprised at all by anybody's conduct coming from Robme's campain. He is a figure head for the GOP and cant answer questions because they are not there to tell him what to say. The only reason most of the people that is going to vote for him because they hate Obama. Which does not make any sense. What he was supposed to wave a wand and majicly undo in three years what Bush had 8 years to screw up. With republicans stopping every bill he put forth not because it was not good for the country but because they want him out of office. The republicans have their own agenda and its not to bring this country back on track but to capitalise on the backs of others while calling them " economicly inferior".

Hiding from the press. Hiding his taxes. Hiding his "Olympic heroism" paper trail. Hiding his gubernatorial archives in MA. Hiding his Bain days. I think Newsweek hit it on the nose. All this hiding is indicative of a wimp.
Gorka and Willard can KMA and shove it.

He´s Embarrased the U.S. in England . The Mayor of London ( a Conservative ) was insulted by comments
from Romney . He enraged Palestinians in Israel and helped intensify the anger between the Israelis and
Palestinians . The Israeli Defense Minister said Obama and his Administration have execellent ties , which
proves that romney´s a liar when he´says that Israel and the U.S. are at odds with each other . Now
The team that Romney has put together is verbally abusing the Foreign Press and cussing out the press
at one of Polands Holiest sites . Romney´s a one man "wrecking machine " when it comes to Ruining
our reputation abroad . I hope he hurries up and get back to the U.S. before he starts WW3 .

Why bring a press corp along if you aren't going to engage them? Why not just hire a group of photographers?

    Humm,
Imagine the Liberal Press being put in their place. Ask a Stupid Question, get a Stupid Answer. How about, "Do you have a comment about the 5 Trillion Dollar Debt Obama ran up" You can ask intellegent questions, if you try.

Romney doesn't want to answer any question from the press unless it is Fox News reporters that can ask him only the questions he wants to answer, if he answers any other reporters he always makes stupid gaffes, and for showing respect at a holy site for Poland, it was this aide using foul langugue himself that showed disrespect. Romney visited 3 countries out of hundreds to try to show some foreign experience.......and out of the 3, 1 country totally blasted him for his arrogant remarks, in Isreal he more or less encouraged Isreal to take on Iran and we would be there to get into another War, Poland his own aide disrespected the Pole's by using foul unnesscesary langugue, and still in Isreal other high profile members of their cabinet praised Obama as doing more for Isreal than past Presidents. Romney offended the Palistine people making it more difficult for diplomatic efforts to proceed.......Romney is not quailified to be President of this country, he doesn't have the experience other than being a busisness man and there are other important issues to deal with besides the economy, he will have many more problems to deal with in this country...... OBAMA 2012

Interesting to read that the reporters harassing Romney and shouting out the obnoxious questions at him are from two organizaitons...CNN and the NYT...who may as well be called agents for the DNC...desperate much? It's analogous to the DNC coming up with the story that obama is related to some early slaves...how desperate is the DNC...does it see a devastating loss in November...it should...because it's definitely coming!

Mitty for president 2012. Why are reporters asking tough question of Mitty. Don't they know he has more important things to worry about? For instance how to avoid releasing more tax returns while convincing the American public he is ready for president or how to hide more money abroad to reduce his US taxes. Come on reporters he is making a good case for president 2012 so cut him some slack.
