Romney trip may not matter much to voters in November

Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney's high-profile trip to England, Israel and Poland featured cheering crowds, iconic settings and forceful speeches, but may be remembered more for diplomatic gaffes.

Whether any of it will matter when American voters choose between Romney and President Barack Obama three months from now is less clear.

Economy and jobs will be on my mind when I vote, I doubt I'll be thinking of the Olympics, Palestinians or anything else Democrats want us to think about.

It won't matter at all because it shouldn't. The economy will matter and that is all in Obama's court.

I'm tired of all things Romney.
But I do want him to show us the money.

May not? Yes it will, his diplomacy and etiquette are very much part of any candidates test. This will not go away after the "Ten day and gone" test.

is that actually Romney or a cardboard cutout...oh, that is right, there is no difference...at any rate, at least he did not have to dodge a shoe from the crowd (oh the glory days of bush!)...i would be emabarrased to even admit that i was a republican with this clown as your nominee...you know it is bad when your best reply to every screw up is "well, obama did it too"...

I've heard Fox News explain how the Republicans deserve no responsibility for the destruction of our economy at the end of Bush's eight-year term. Somehow they blame the "liberals" despite the two wars and the cut & spend practice of the Republicans in the Congress. Over 8.5 million jobs were lost BEFORE President Obama took office and we almost went under for good. The first bailout package was issued by BUSH! Trickle-down economics didn't work – again! Republicans planned to prevent a recovery from the very first day of the President's term! Republicans only work to defend the fat-cats – nobody else. Turn off that fascist Faux News propaganda machine and think!

It will most definitely be on our minds because it is the totality of the picture in the long run that Voter's will be taking into context and I firmly believe it will help to tip the scales in favor of a competent leader and Mitt Romney is not that candidate.

this is how dumb the republicans are...here is the real question you need to consider...when the economy gets fixed, then what?...the economy will turnaround (it is a cycle) and it will have little to do with Romney...when that happens, then what...this fool will actually have to govern/lead and all of these non-economic blunders are a sign of what is to come, if he even winns...i guess the old saying is true with republicans...they all are prostitutes, but they have different prices...make your deal with the devil you fools!

It matters alright, it shows Gov. Romney is ill equipped to be President of the United States. It's pretty obvious that he is not presidential material.

I bet you most Americans have no idea where Israel or Poland are located or even what languages are spoken there. I doubt they'll be thinking of this trip come election day. Americans will be thinking of unemployment and a lousy economy and how much of their savings if not all their savings are gone.

Please remember foreign policy is the last debate before the elections. Even Charles Krauthammer criticized Romney's failure on this front. Unbelievably embarrassing & not presidential.

Obama never made a gaffe, he is so perfect, not! The press always ignores his mistakes, 52 states, corpsmen, etc, etc.

Which means that it was an abject failure.

"Economy and jobs will be on my mind when I vote, I doubt I'll be thinking of the Olympics, Palestinians or anything else Democrats want us to think about."

    Ummm....

Mittens went to England and to Israel.

Mittens said stuff aboutthe Olympics and culture/economics in the Middle East.

Methinks that would indicate that it was Mittens who actually wanted us to be thinking about those things.

The only reason he (and you) don't want us thinking about those things anymore is because he tripped over his clown shoes tapdancing through EU. Had he not done so, you'd be attempting to trumpet his success all over the place. One does not go do meaningless things and take a meaningless 7 day European tour glad-handing European leaders during one's POTUS campaign if one believes it is meaningless and shouldn't be considered by voters. Your position (and Mittens') is patently absurd. It won't be considered because it failed, period. If it succeeded, it would be considered...because that would be how you defined its success in the first place.

I suspect whatever is in the tax returns Mitt is hiding will matter to voters in November.

What we do not need is to go backwards with the policies that didn't work in 2009 and 2010. These were mistakes that added pretty much a generation of national debt but still left America with 3 million fewer jobs than before. Proven leadership, experience, capability and a plan forward do count. Romney 2012.

Boehner ran on jobs, jobs, jobs, and tonight, the republican congress will vote to deny rights to women in DC. John deserves an 'atta drunk' for his idiocy.

Remember now... school starts soon and you don't want to neglect your studies by wasting time making comments. This would be a good year for you to ask the teacher about something called "economics". The teacher can explain how difficult times can be when half of our Congress works to block progress so they can help their greedy friends and get re-elected. This makes them real meanies, since they were the bad boys who wrecked the economy in the first place. Now you go and get a new mullet haircut, a pair of big-boy pants, and get ready for yet another year in the same grade.

WILLARD's ventures abroad should HORRIFY Americans – he INSULTED GREAT BRITAIN, RATTLED SPARKS IN ISRAEL, MET A UNION LEADER IN POLAND, and now he will claim to be A MITT-XPERT ON FOREIGN POLICY.

As Lincoln said about his 1864 RE-ELECTION, THE PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE HORSES IN MIDSTREAM !!
