Was Romney's trip 'a great success' or gaffe-filled disaster?

Warsaw (CNN) - In the estimation of Mitt Romney and his top campaign aides, there were no gaffes, no mistakes, no ill-advised statements on the Republican candidate's overseas trip.

The poorly timed comments? No big deal. The remarks in Israel that inflamed the Palestinians? Overblown. The off-color words to the press by a Romney aide Tuesday? In the heat of the moment.

This trip was a success in the same way General Custer was successful at the Little Big Horn–Custer drew Crazy horse out of hiding. Way to go, Custer, you showed them.

If there were no gaffes, why did he back-peddle and feel he needed to explain his every comment.
I used to have some respect for him. this campaign has shown me he would be more harm to this country than good.
    He is not a leader.

The world will forgot all about Willard's gaffes if he forgets about being president. Otherwise, game on.

I'm sorry but Mitt Romney is NOTwhat our president should be. He just spouts whatever he needs to spout, to whomever he is speaking to. We need someone that stands up for a new direction. It's crucial !!!! It's time to change and not go backwards.

Robmey, your comments over your entire trip was disrespectful of every populations of the countries you visited. You called the houses in London too small for you to live in, said the Olympics that England had did not meet up to your demands.
I mean really, you think the people are that stupid to not notice? Everything you said was from your very own mouth. You could have done a lot better by saying nothing at all. But you are the typical Robmey, Mitt the Twit. England called you right on the carpet for it.

It was an EPIC failure.......worse than the economy. If he can't play nice with the big boys ON THE NATIONAL STAGE, America's economic vitality is screwed. Foreign policy intersects domestic interests........This trip is a good example that Mitt can't go around betting world leaders $10,000 that he can do the olympics better than they are doing it. Or that a war-torn, oppressed nation deserves their economic vitality because of their culture.......Get serious mhen........Santorum was right. He is the worst republican to represent the party.

Why do Republicans keep putting their politicians with the worst optics into the limelight?

Actually I was keeping score with my new Gaffe-O-Meter. But, Romney broke it when his London hat trick; insulted the Olympic organizers in more ways than one, forgot Mr. Leader's name, and then revealed MI6. The trip was a completer disaster for the Romney campaign. Now I need to build a bigger one, one that can rest faster for those rapid fire gaffes.

If the so called reporters -who must be the most disrespectful, un-trained people in any profession– could actually do stories instead of reducing themselves and their media to gaffe spinners we may have something.... I ould love to see them vette Obama on his disasyer filled four years for a change and actually do stories about things like fast and furious and leaks of national security information.. Guess they are too busy looking for gaffes to do real reporting.... They should be embarassed!!! Romney is about the nation Obama is about himself- TIME TO MOVE ON!

A disaster. The same as his presidency would be, if (by mistake) he were to be elected.

Please, I have a feeling none of you have ever left the U.S. Romney did fine, most of the people where I come from think all Americans are to be laughed at anyways, Americans are not highly thought of, mainly though of as uneducated and undisciplined and with no culture. Romney made Americans look great.

So, if they do puff-pieces that merely affirm your beliefs instead of informing people, that would make you happy? I guess you are interested more in propaganda than in hearing news. You are right about one thing, it is time to move on. by the way, how is Romney about the nation? was he thinking about that when he sent jobs overseas and sent the proceeds to offshore accounts so he could avoid taxes? Is that about the nation, or is investing all of that money at home make you a real patriot?

    @RealityBites

Why is it that CNN only asks these types of rhetorical questions about Republicans? Hmmmmmm.
    ---------------------------------------------------–
Answer: Because the new Republican Party can only get ridiculous candidates through the primary. People like Jon Huntsman aren't crazy enough. It takes a far right-wing, delusional, bigoted moron to get past the radicals now in control. Out-of-touch morons are the people who are constantly doing something stupid. Got it?

  20. Has Mittens "RETROACTIVELY RETIRED" as the GOVERNOR of MA back to before he signed ROMNEYCARE???

One of these days, hopefully, the GOP will realize that not every one is a simpleton and needs their news chopped up into bite sized pieces and hand fed to them that the Fox sheeple.

Until then, it was a gaffe filled mess, and "Mitt the Twit" says it all.

And that was from his Anglo-Saxon, shared heritage, "friends"!
