WASHINGTON (CNN) - California Democratic Rep. Laura Richardson misused government staffers for a variety of political and personal purposes, and should be formally reprimanded by the full House of Representatives, according to a report released Wednesday by the House Committee on Ethics.
The committee unanimously recommended both the reprimand and a $10,000 fine for the three-term congresswoman, who has admitted wrongdoing and accepted the proposed penalty. House members are expected to approve the recommendation of the panel, which is divided equally between Republicans and Democrats.

On average, between 700 and 900 bills will get passed over the course of two year term in the House. Trumans "do nothing Congress" passed only some 500 or so bills. The current Tea Party House has only passed about 110. That's correct foks, only 110 as of last week.
So when Pres. Obama campaigns aganst a "DID nothing Congress" in the fall you will know what he's talking about.
I've read on her and I don't think she is sorry and if she could do it again I bet she would. But, she's still there and she's probably up to no good already.

Yes, I do. What is most appalling is that at least 33 of those 110 bills were measures to repeal health care reform. They had a similar number of bills that had amendments to repeal financial reform. I am sure there was overlap. The Tea Party House has been a complete disaster. Things have gotten worse since they rolled into town.
When you consider that Democrats cannot stop how many bills they bring to the floor, and the fact that the Tea Party holds the majority and can pass anything they want and as much or AS LITTLE as they want, yes it is the correct metric. The "did nothing Congress" is what the Tea Party is.
