Obama speaks with world leader on phone while holding baseball bat

(CNN) – It's still a mystery why President Barack Obama was holding a baseball bat during his telephone conversation with Turkey's prime minister earlier this week. An official White House photo shows the president with the bat in one hand and a phone in the other.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked about the photo on Tuesday and promised get some answers but so far nothing.

He always speaks softly and carries a big stick. I hope Turkey is not demanding an apology for Mittens foreign tour. KMA Mittens.

I have a habit of playing with a rubber band whle on the phone at work and guess what...it means nothing. Shocking, I know.

It's the middle of baseball season. Leave it to the commentariat to try to read into this in a vain attempt to dervive meaning from the meaningless...pretty much the same deal as with their empty bobbleheaded lives.

You can't handle the truth! - If you get the reference to the baseball bat, you're awesome.

Seriously, why is the baseball bat a story?

He uses it to club anyone who actually speaks common sense that he might come in contact with. Like taxpayers, business owners, workers, Fox News, Republicans. Anyone who disagrees with what the corrupt unions have told him to disagree with. He is a good puppet for them.

Maybe he was just holding the bat. Why does there have to be some nefarious meaning behind it? Stop trying to stir up trouble for your own purpose.

  11. Republicans - "The Not Intended to Be Factually Accurate" Party

Can any of us imagine any GOP leader, or even Mitt Rmney having the ifluence and sway to get France / Britain / Denmark / Spain / the UAE / Turkey / Italy, etc. to take an aggressive, "heavy lifting" role in the fight against, and fall of, Moammar Qadaffi?

We know the Brits would have told Mitt the Twit to pound sand.

Well. its clearly NOT for playing wack-a-mole on the intelligence leakers inside his own administration.
Of course, holding a progressive accountable for something they fail to recognize as intelligence is unfair.., right?

Shows his mind is on everything else but politics, like why do I have to call those people, I have nothing in common with them. Now, do I know that that’s true? Well, I’m not certain?

I think the bat is cool and we all know what is said about big sticks, but with all the joke around a lot of us think better with things in are hand like us to have a baseball on are desk, and the list can go on and on with things that we all have used in are life when speaking to someone or thinking about something. But to end this with a note WHY is this news in the first place man doing you people at CNN have other things to look at or dig up. HMMM Matt Taxes would be good place to start.
Any Mr. P keep the bat nearby you never know who my come into the office say something that would be out of line or bring up tax increase on middle class and the poor.

"Seriously, why is the baseball bat a story?"

It's not. It's a distraction. Unfortunately, the MSM essentially has temporal lobe damage and the definitions of those two words are completely confused for them.

"Well. its clearly NOT for playing wack-a-mole on the intelligence leakers inside his own administration."

Indeed. He's leaving that to the DOJ and the special prosecutors assigned to it so that he's not interfering and abusing his power. I know...failing to overreach is a concept hard to fathom for you guys, but you'll eventually wrap your heads around it. Maybe the embarassing loss in November will help you this time. Last time you sort of blew it off, pretended to contrition, never apologized and then told us a few months later through a token spokespoerson that you were done apologizing as if to fake us out into believing you had apologized in the first place. Maybe this time you can manage an I'm sorry for lying about suply-side trickle-down economics or something close to it.
