Palin to Cheney: Careful where you aim

(CNN) – Don't expect to see Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney on an elk hunt anytime soon.

The former Alaska governor slammed Cheney Tuesday for his assertion that it was a mistake to put her on the 2008 GOP ticket, saying the former vice president was being influenced by the "lamestream media."

Appearing to reference a now-infamous incident from 2006 when Cheney accidentally shot a campaign contributor on a quail hunt, Palin said sarcastically that Cheney was not known for his "misfires."

"Seeing as how Dick – excuse me, Vice President Cheney – never misfires, then evidently he's quite convinced that what he had evidently read about me by the lamestream media, having been written, what I believe is a false narrative over the last four years, evidently Dick Cheney believed that stuff and that's a shame," Palin said in an appearance on Fox News.

On Sunday, Cheney said in an interview he felt it was a "mistake" for then-GOP nominee John McCain to choose Palin as his running mate.

Cheney said Palin failed to meet the number one requirement for a vice president: a readiness to step into the top job if needed.

"Based on her background, she was only governor for two years, I don't think she passed that test of being ready to take over. And I think that was a mistake," Cheney said in an interview with ABC News.

McCain himself pushed back on Monday, saying he was proud of Palin and what the pair accomplished four years ago.

"I'm always glad to get comments four years later," McCain added sarcastically.

Palin said Tuesday the real mistake would have been turning down McCain's invitation to join the GOP ticket.

"Here's where the mistake would have been, I believe. If I had not answered the call," Palin said. "I was honored to run for the vice president of the United States alongside Sen. John McCain. I was honored to accept the nomination from the GOP."

Citing her approval ratings as governor, Palin said it would have been easier for her to "have hunkered down, live that luxurious live, if you will, in Alaska."

Quoting lyrics from Dire Straits, Palin said she was being targeted by members of her own party.

"Sometimes you're the Louisville Slugger, baby, and sometimes you're the ball," Palin said. "Evidently, in these last months, per many many comments from those within the GOP establishment, I'm the ball."

    "lamestream media."
Two Peas in a Pod , void of responsibility and accountability !

" Be careful where you aim " ? First of all Palin was not a full two term Governor .

The caption should read , " Is that a pistol in your pants , or you just glad to see me " !

Sarah is a total embarrassment. To think she could have been one heartbeat away from running this country is freightening. Darth Vader made me pray for Bush's good health.

That Sarah Palin even appears on the national political landscape make America look like a country of rubes. Sorry, just speaking honestly.

Neither one is remotely worthy of leadership. The country dodged the bullet which was Sarah Palin.

Unfortunately for the tens of thousands of US service men and women killed and injured in Iraq and Afghanistan, and $ trillions wasted, the United States of American wasn't so lucky to escape Dick "Darth Sidious" Cheney."

these repubs are somthing else, do they expect america to beleive the media is controlled by a bunch of blacks, spanish and women. come on! the repubs party is consist of 95 percent whites mostly men and have 95 percent of the folks that own these media outlets and radio stations. their are only 40 percent whites, in the dems party and a few holiwood actors and actresses. come on with that lame stream media stuff. if the media go down the middle with the 2 candidates, the repubs have a fit, yet they have 4 media outlets dedicated to the propaganda, and the dems only have 1 which is msnbc. that sounds like an unfair fight to me.

Her use of lamestream media precludes her from being president. Her quoting DIre Straights is even more presidential. I really can't think of one thing that ever qualified her to be president.

Neither one of these two have much room to talk. Palin will do and say anything for the right amount of money. Cheney on the other hand should be help before and international court for war crimes and an American court for his involvment and allocation of goverment contracts. Never the less both will go down in history as less than desirable people. That is if there is anyone around to read history after the war mongers in the GOP have there way.

Hmmm, Romney affirms whatever he said but can't remember what he said and Palin can't remember what she read, what Supreme Court case was most important, etc. – sounds like a team. Maybe Romney should pick Palin for VP so the "brainstream media" can properly whack them both!

Silly Sarah, blame the media! Why am I not surprised?

Oh, I don't know Sarah, didja ever think (wink wink) maybe that Dick Cheney may have actually been watching some of that lamestream media, as you call it, and actually heard some of your pearls of wisdom come straight from the source? I mean, didja ever think maybe, just maybe, that some of the stupid things that you have said all by yourself just might have made him think you weren't ready for the VP job?

"But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." –Sarah Palin, after being asked how she would handle the current hostilities between the two Koreas, interview on Glenn Beck's radio show, Nov. 24, 2010

    Maybe?

One does not have to depend on the lamestream media to report "false" information. All she has to do is open her mouth. She is an embarrassment at all levels. She still continues to deny all that is written by many, many people who have witnessed her behavior.

the republican party can not come togeather on anything it would seem. How will they govern if they can't compromise among themselves.? None of them like mitt but are stuck with him. The party is being run by eleven rich guys who want to by this country and the presidency for themselves. If this is the best they have to offer we are in real toruble. Vote Obama /Biden 2012 Forward not back to this lunecy.

Sarah would not be half as annoying if she only could build an intelligible sentence. It should not be too hard. After all she does not have too complex thoughts to package.

What Sarah Palin and her ilk are really driving at is a complete re-write of the constitution to benefit her corporate masters. Watch for it.

Sarah get pissed, but you were a very big mistake. I'm still wondering how in the heck you were picked. Stick to TV i'm sure there are some viewers that would be interested in listening to you whine. Thank goodness you didn't make to the White House other than to visit.

Palin was the death of McCain's run for president. I would have voted for him if he only picked someone who was competent. Palin is a joke, and she is very vindictive.
