First on CNN: Vice Presidential headhunter Beth Myers joining Romney for Colorado trip

Aspen, Colorado (CNN) – Is Mitt Romney nearing a final decision on who will be his running mate this fall?

Here's one clue: Romney's longtime adviser Beth Myers, who has been tasked with heading up the campaign's search for a running mate, will be traveling with the Republican presidential hopeful on Thursday when he arrives in Colorado to meet with GOP governors, according to a source familiar with the trip.

Romney will hold a public event with several Republican governors in Basalt before attending a fundraiser in Aspen later in the evening. A who's who of top GOP officeholders, strategists and donors are gathered in the ski resort town for a retreat hosted by the Republican Governors Association.

At least one Republican governor thought to be on Romney's final short list – Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal – is already in Aspen.

While the purpose of Myers' trip is being tightly held, her presence at Romney's side is a reminder that he could announce his running mate at any time in the coming weeks.

Oboma or Romney we are doomed. Why? If Oboma wins, and the Deomcrats don't have a majority in Congress, nothing will get done just as it has been for the last four years because Republicans would rather ruin the country than work with a black Democrat. If Romney wins......unless you're rich, you're screwed! Either way, the next four years are going to be rough!

of course they don't want to mention Willard in the other article! It makes them look biased... mind you, check fox news, they probably have a spin on it where through a democratic clerical error, Mitt's plane has a layover in Aspen at the same time Rove will be eating dinner at a local diner, and the gov's ball will be held with no one but the gov't themselves, and drew carry...

The choice would be HAL (from 2001), Romney's soul mate.

Myer’s job of selecting Romney’s VP is pretty easy.
She can look under the toilet seat of a gas station rest room and find Karl Rove.
It’s no mystery who will share the ticket after the GOP late summer Hate Fest.

And in the photo above, Deputy Doublethink is demonstrating the magic left-handed robot judo chop that will cause massive tax cuts for the wealthy to suddenly do something they've never ever done before in the country's history: create jobs and grow the middle class. You see, we did it wrong before, because the massive tax cuts to the rich need to be large enough to outright kill the middle-class first. Clearly, we have to burn the middle-class in order to save it.

Well, Reid is a high ranking senate member, therefore i will not be surprised if he saw Romney's tax records. There is no government files that are out of reach from either the President or high ranking senate members. They can look at his tax records, but they can't disclose what they see. So if Reid says Romney did not pay any taxes, believe that he didn't.

Who cares who he picks? The only qualifications the person will have to have is s o m e experience in goverment, and the seeming ability to garner votes. Really makes no difference......too bad he can't pick a Palin which would really guarantee Obama a win, which he deserves by the way.

NO man can fix the nation now. We are all walking dead people. The final collaspe will happen between November and January. First the Rich people will leave in droves. The markets will drop 8000 points in 60 to 90 days. The government will then fail. Suicides will be rampent. Everything we thought could never fail has failed. You see non of you think the USA can come to an end. Well I'm sorry to break it to you. It's already over. The really bad things are at our door step and we still think a MAN can fix this. You haven't seen suffering yet. The world is going to be plunged into a century of darkness. All of you people are fools. I read these posts and realize how far gone we really are. Have a great!

Will she be going to the strip clubs like all the GOP "family values" folk at the convention in Tampa? Ask one of the owners about the Promise Keepers. I'm sure Vegas wants the GOP back since booze and women revenue skyrocketed when they were there last

Maybe this VP pick can run in 2016 after Romney inevitably loses. The worst enemy of the Republican party is the Republican party.

So, to clarify, this is the same meeting that Rove and Gillespie are attending which raises serious questions about the extent to which they may be trying to skirt campaign finance laws by creating a situation where PACs and candidates are discussing strategy and coordination? .....
Technically, Rove's group is not a superPAC at all. It is defined in the same way a food pantry would. Technically, their ads are public service announcements, informing the public of their version of the facts. "Since Pres. Obama has been in office, we have had blah, blah, blah." Technically, that is more factual than political. Because of how Rove's group is defined, they do not have to reveal their donors at all. Naturally, I don't like it.
