Romney unveils simplified campaign message

(CNN) - President Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney traded accusations on tax policy Thursday, with both claiming at campaign stops in battleground states that the other's strategies have failed.

Romney used a rally in Golden, Colorado, to unveil a simplified campaign message called for by some Republican strategists, laying out a five-point plan that he said would put the nation back on the correct economic path.

"They have tried to sell us tax cut fairy dust before," Obama said. "It is not a plan to move our economy forward. It takes us backward to a place we don't need to be."

Precious. His own Chief Economic Adviser says the same thing but Dr. Downgrade Obama the economic wizard has all the answers. The problem is, if he can't do squat in 3 1/2 years and $5 trillion of spending his answers must be wrong.

is obama's plan for the next four years more of the same bs he's been selling the last 4 years? seriously??? does he intend to steal all of the money from the rich to give to others? how does that provide jobs to anybody? obama is just clueless about economic matters and is trying to mask it with personal attacks and class warfare. do we want 4 more years of this insanity????

The bottom line is that Mitt Romney's economic plan will help create 12 million jobs in his first term while reducing the cost of government, reducing taxes for all working Americans and businesses and fixing Medicare for long term survival to serve Americans long into the future. Obama's plan? Raise taxes and try more of the same failed strategies that he threw $trillions at in 2009 and 2010. And ignore Medicare. Let someone else worry about it I guess.

Four and the Door – the President has spent around 1 trillion to rescue the economy from depression. The other 4 trillion was money the President added to the deficit that Bush had hidden and kept off the books (the costs of Medicare part D, two unfunded wars, and the Bush tax cuts). Do any facts penetrate your delusional, ill-informed, sociopathic bubble? Pass on the message to your evil butt-twin "truth hurts".

What a lovely overgeneralization that is. Care to discuss the fact that you're essentially blaming Obama for extending the tax cuts when he only did so because the GOP/Teatrolls held a gun to the neighbors' kids' heads and demanded he do so or else? Or would that be too much truthiness for your tinfoil hat addled brain?

Oh cali girl, your envy of people who do well is not very becoming. Here's Mitt Romney's deal. Every American does better regardless of where they start. What's not to like about that? Seriously, isn't that a perfect scenario?

"In its study, the Tax Policy Center did not score Romney's plan directly, saying it lacked sufficient details."

Again the same old story, no plans for anything. If he follows the Ryan budget version, medicare will go away. Ryan is known as the kill medicare kid.
Tax breaks and tax cuts for the filthy of richest get all the breaks. Worked great for the Bush Administration, you know, that successful business man who ran the country for 8 years.
Yep, successful business man ran the company call the USA into near bankruptcy. Wow, and if anyone does file for bankruptcy you are in the mess for 7 years.

President Obama proposes extending the tax cuts for the Middle Class and lower income folks, who spend their money and stimulate the economy. The rich have been saying for over 10 years that tax cuts for them results in job creation, which is a lie (our bad for not asking them to specify WHERE the jobs get created; tax cuts for the American rich result in job creation overseas and jobs elimination here in the U.S.).

The new tax cuts President Obama is proposing are to provide incentives for businesses to invest here and will strengthen our economy, not weaken it like the GOP trickle-down economic policies that are PROVEN FAILURES.

@truth hurts: If President Obama is "clueless about economic matters," then why did his economic policies keep our country from going into a Great Depression, result in 27 straight months of private sector job creation and facilitate the Dow going from 7,000 in 2008 to over 13,000 this year?

    Fox Breaking News!!!!

The only true living prophet for God (just ask Mitt he confides in to him daily) our belove Thomas Monsoon is asking Mitt Romney to return to Salt Lake City Utah immediately. Reports are coming in that some business owners are serving Happy Hour even though the Mormons (and God) forbid it and made it illegal this year in the state. The Mormons are looking for Mitt to show a sign of strength by demanding and end to all Happy Hours across the country!

God Bless the Mormon whack jobs coming to a city near you.

Four & the door you sound just plain silly how could Romney create 12 million
Jobs in his first term when he wants to get rid of teachers firefighters govt workers in general & all tea party members want to get rid of Medicaid so that means more job loss for those who process the applications and so on don't hate Obama just because have a reason 3 and a half years & we are no longer bleeding jobs yes our unemployment is high but how could it not be when Congress is not pushing forward to keep positive growth the president is pretty much a face & that's it he cannot do anything without the support of the house & everyone who graduated high school should know that so if you really want to blame anyone blame the Congress who have put more work into voter fraud then passing anything else open your eyes
