(CNN) - A new poll released Thursday indicates Mitt Romney's favorability rating dropped slightly in the past month.
According to the Pew Research Center survey, 37% of respondents said they hold a favorable view of the presumptive GOP nominee, compared to 41% in June.

In its findings, Pew noted that July marked the sixth consecutive month in a row in which more people held an unfavorable view of Romney than a favorable view.
The poll shows that the former Massachusetts governor's rating significantly improved between March and June, when other GOP contenders dropped out of the race and the Republican base united around Romney.
Since then, however, the candidate has struggled to maintain his image, according to the poll, as he battles head-to-head against President Barack Obama's fully-loaded re-election campaign.
Team Obama and national Democrats have hammered Romney this summer over his business background in attacks that include tying him to outsourcing, questioning his financial portfolio and accusing him of being misleading about his departure date as CEO of Bain Capital.
The survey was mostly conducted before Romney took an overseas trip at the end of July. During his three-country tour, he faced criticism for making comments in the United Kingdom and Israel that some groups found offensive.
On the flip side, 50% of voters–the same amount as March–say they hold a favorable view of Obama, while 45% have an unfavorable view.
"Even so, Obama's personal ratings are lower than most presidential candidates in recent elections," the study notes.
The Pew Research Center for the People & the Press conducted the survey between July 16 and 26, questioning 2,508 adults, including 1,956 registered voters.

Unless he gets a personality transplant, poor Mitt can't compete on this front. He'll have to hope his promise of 12 million jobs, a chicken in every pot (a Chick-Fil-A chicken of course), and new car in every car elevator will do the trick for him.
Romney's poll numbers will continue to drop because of recent revelations that he didn't pay any taxes for 10 years and he received tax write offs on his fancy Olympic horse.
It would help his image if he could produce his tax records and if those records didn't show him to to be an unethical or dishonest person. We all know he's hiding the information for a really good reason.
Still, Romney can't lose his only important attribute with so many of the right-wing. He will remain white.
Romney has been struggeling, you can see that everywhere he goes and speeks. He's probally a nice guy and obveiously a good bussiness man makeing profits in huge amounts of money and assets. But Presidential material ? That is 1 thing he doesn't have at all. That has to be something thats in your blood. Look at both the Clintons, both have that certain something that connects with all the people not just a few. Pres. Obama has the same thing, even more so than the Clintons do. Pres. Obama is the Rock Star of all presidents we have evr had.

Not too surprising for the flimflam man that comes across like the proverbial jello Sandwich most of the time.
No-one can pry one strait answer out of this guy regardless of subject matter. he refuses to give anything back to questions except generalized non-talk of no substance whatsoever.
No one really knows this guy for a reason, he does not what you to know anything substantive about him because he operates that way in business to avoid repercussions.
The end-result is that no-one trusts him and what he says because it is his style of operation.As a CEO he was not used to people requiring him to offer up any reasons for his decisions at any level and you can see that in his relations with the Press.

Romney is an EXTREMELY unlikeable person. I don't think he has a chance in heck to win this election, unless they steal it with their voter suppression laws.
Whenever I hear about Romney trying to improve his "favorability rating" I recall the story about him bullying the other kid in prep school. Your core values are somewhat permanent by that time in life and I suspect he had "favorability issues" in those days. It could be that deep down he's simply a spoiled, self-centered, jerk...
The problem Romney has is the one he had in Iowa back in 2008. He lost to Huckabee because no one trusted him despite the money he spent. This is happening again in the general election. All Obama needs is to get people to the polls in larger numbers than Romney.
Don't worry, Mittens, i'm sure the superrich love you. the rest of us, not so much. even the folks in your own party have to hold their noses to vote for you. too bad the ones who aren't super rich haven't woken up to the fact they're cutting their own throats voting republican.

The more you see and hear Romney....the less you like him. He's the know it all from high school, the hall monitor, the do gooder who really wasn't. Everyone knows this man and he just can't hide it.....not like his tax returns.
His ratings will continue to drop and they'll drop considerably after the first debate and then drop again after the second debate and there will be no chance for a come back & Obama will win....thank God.
