Romney promises 12 million jobs in four years

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - Mitt Romney's economic advisers issued a rosy set of projections Thursday that predict 12 million new jobs and a sharp economic expansion if the Republican candidate were to capture the White House.

The paper, authored by four conservative economists, projects that the Romney plan would add between 0.5% and 1% per year in gross domestic product growth over the next decade.

These same "conservative economists" framed the Bush economic policies that got us in to this mess. Trickle-down, cut & spend economics has never been shown to work – but it keeps right-wing economists employed. We must build a middle-class like we did during the Clinton Administration – build from the middle and everybody profits. Build from the top and only the top benefits. We've shown this time and time again. We had the so-called "job creators" during the Bush years... where's the jobs?

If this man and his ideas weren' so pathetic this would almost be funny. Of course, he thinks corporations are people.
What is he going to do since presidents don't create jobs. He is bringing back all the American jobs he sent overseas?
Face it bully bishop, no matter what you say or do or say you didn't say or didn't do is out there and you are running out of room to hide. Between you, your wife, your sons and your staff all you have shown us since every other clown dropped out is that you are out of touch with the middle class, the poor and pretty much anyone who is not from the country club crowd.

Where are they coming from? Who's paying for them? Are they in the U.S.? And, in conclusion, How stupid does he think we are?????

Hmmm...12 million jobs in 4 years. I guess that will only employee 4 million people working 3 minimum wage jobs each.

He can't do that because presidents don't creat jobs or do they? Because of the low consumer confidence here and Europe's problems, Romney's promise means squat!

Unwise to make such promises given the likely obstruction tactics that will be used by Democrats.

Yada, yada, yada. To actually add jobs would be an entirely new trend for Romney, unless he meant he would add the 12 million new jobs overseas. This has been his trend, cut American jobs and ship them overseas.

►Romney promises 12 million jobs in four years◄
BUT, Romney does not have 4 years – So I guess he won't be able to pay back those BIG CORPs that are trying to USE HIM to BUY the election!!! The American people are waking up and what they see is a cheater, liar, tax evader, flip-flopper AND, "I’m not familiar precisely with exactly what I said but I stand by what I said whatever it was...” – That's DANGEROUS!!

I have one simple question, how are you going to do it? You have yet to come out with one single specific on anything at all to do with the economy and we are expected to simply believe you? Not on your life. Not until you supply us with a detailed plan for the economy as far as jobs and taxes are concerned. To take you at your word is a frightening thing.

Gov. Romney is NOT presidential material. He is not competent to be the leader of the free world. There is probably a move under way in the Republican party to unseat him at their convention.

HOW can he promise jobs – let alone a specific number? I thought it was private equity that created jobs? If it were that easy to create jobs, then Congress could have done that when they first took over the house of reps two years ago... like they campaigned on and have yet to deliver.

He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and he who gives gifts to the rich - both come to poverty. Proverbs 22:16. Looks like this would be a double whammy on Mitt and the party of greed. May they receive a poverty of votes in November.

So around 2009 thousands of companies laid off thousands of workers. Since then many of those companies have realized their production and profits were just fine with the smaller task force. In other words, they won't be hiring. How is Romney's plan or any other presidents plan going to force these companies to hire people, that they don't want or need? Many companies closed down and aren't coming back. Unemployment will hover around 8% or worse from here on out, our presidents magical powers will be useless.
