Obama closer to breaking even on jobs

New York (CNNMoney) - Is President Obama a job creator? Not yet. But he might be by Election Day.

The American economy only has to add another 316,000 jobs to get back to where it was in January 2009, when the president was sworn in.

"And if bush had created jobs, then Obama would have created 4 million jobs. So he is creating jobs no matter how you look at it."

I need Mr. Spock's tricoder to understand that statement.

@myviews – "Bottom line, not enough jobs created for all those standing in the unemployment line."

Absolutely correct. Too bad our representatives in Washington cannot get their act together to do what they can to help solve this problem. It seems that ideology is trumping pragmatism and preventing compromise.

Pres. Obama has overseen more than 4 million jobs created and respectfully understands he needs to continue working hard for middle-class Americans to create more. Godspeed.

In addition, the president oversaw more job creation in just 3.5 short years than Pres. Bush did in 8.

Watching the right wing droogies try to spin this a bad news just shows where their loyalties lie.

A large part of why the unemployment rate is so high is that many of the workers don't have the skills needed for today's business climate. Give a hand to the GOP for gutting education.

This is actually impressive news given absolutely no help for the American people on the part of the GOP. Sure, they passed lots of anti-abortion laws- but no jobs bills!

@Myviewis – Bottom line, not enough jobs created for all those standing in the unemployment line.

Hmmm...didn't the Grand Obstructionist Party run on a jobs, jobs, jobs platform in 2010 – that allowed them to regain control of the House ?? Where are those jobs, jobs, jobs they promised? As vapid and mythical as their ability to fix the economy. If you vote Republikrat, you'll get all you deserve...

I could tell from Romney`s body language today that the jobs numbers were fundamentally encouraging.

HIS HOPE WAS THAT THEY`d be bad so that the focus would move away from his secretive off shore bank accounts, his years of paying NO-to-LOW tax rates on incomes that are A HUnDRED TIMES HIGHER than that of the average American. DIdn`t happen. Mitt, where are your tax returns!

I also suspect that with people looking for summer jobs, when those seekers are pulled out of the calculation in September & October, the unemployment rate will continue to fall. Get ready for Mitt to try to spin that with another of his WORD SALAD, VERBAL POWERPOINT explainations.
