Romney blasts Obama on jobs report, says he paid taxes

Washington (CNN) - A glass half-full or emptying fast? Depends on who you listened to Friday as President Barack Obama and certain Republican nominee Mitt Romney described the July jobs report at competing public appearances.

Flanked by what he called middle-class Americans at the White House, Obama said the July figures showed 29 straight months of job growth, including 1.1 million new jobs this year, following the recession that was in place when he took office in January 2009.

Someone needs to point out to Mitt Romney that month to month improvements in job creation has actually slowed under the Tea Party Congress.

Mittens, Mittens, Mittens. You say a lot of crap, but most of it is not true. So when people say they do not believe you paid taxes for ten years, you should " . . .put up, or shut up."

I say that the "upper sector" is doing just fine. You've helped the upper sector enough. There are 400 families that own 40% of the wealth in this country. The top 2% own 80% of the wealth. I would say that they are doing much better than fine. What about the middle sector?

Did he pay Federal Income taxes? If so what percentage? With his history on taxes in MA and Utah, we cannot take him for his word since he was caught in a lie there. We'll need to see the returns, as Reagan said, "trust but verify".
It's been 5 days since he told us he would be happy to back and look at his federal income tax percentages, still waiting.
Show us your papers Mitt, too bad you can't even be half the man your father was.

Consecutive months of job growth shows we are going in the right direction. Tax cuts for wealthy guys like Willard certainly hasn't done the trick. If so, Willard would have had us swimming in jobs all this time instead of being unemployed as he's been for what 6 years now???

Mittens was 47th in job creation while governor of MA, and know nothing about creating good paying American jobs. So, Mittens has always been a failure in job creation, and could learn from our president. Remember, if Mittens is elected, the federal government will not be able to bail him out of his mistakes this time.

Show us you taxes Mittens. As the rich elitists say, "What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander."

I would think that the right wingnuts would like to drop Mittens, and start all over.

The DOW is up over 200 points and that's with bad news out of Europe. Looks like Wall Street does not agree with Romney's dour assessment of the jobs report.

Romney says he paid taxes... and this serial liar wants us to trust him? How much? What else is on those returns? No president has been elected in 3 decades without providing at least 7 year of returns. Let's keep that record going.

Romney – can't trust him, no guiding principals, out of touch, flip flopper, serial liar = loser in November.

  10. Obama/Biden - 2012 - Slightly Better than the Great Depression

Obama thinks 29 straight months of adding 100 jobs a month is a great achievement. Yes, I know it is more than 100 jobs. But it might as well be 100 when 100,000 are added but we need 250,000 a month just to stay even because of population growth.

Obama policies would be great if we were Bolivia. But since this is the USA, the great economy on the planet, his policies and the results they have produced are horrendous. Four more years of this failure is not acceptable. Four more years of excuses and finger pointing in not acceptable. He was elected 4 years ago to get this country back on track and he has failed, even by his own standards. Another 4 more years of Obama and the Democrats will amount to a lost decade. The country cannot afford that mistake and another lost 4 years of failure.

Romney is a man on a mission to be POTUS. And he will say and do anything to get there. On top of that, he and his wife feel they DESERVE to be in the W/H. And they feel it is THEIR TURN to be in the W/H and POTUS. This is what they said on National T.V. a few months ago. He questions Pres. Obamas morals ? LOL...LOL... Accepting Huge amounts of money from people like Sheldon Adelson who wants nothing more than to go to WAR with Israel ? That my friend is LOW MORALS ( Gutter Morals ). Your deserveing of being the POTUS isn't going to happen anytime soon.

So, you're telling me job growth grew in July.....and that's a bad thing?

    You fail, Mr. Romney.

Reid, It's come to the attention of some people that you in fact didn't pay your taxes for the past 5 years and also that you have embezzled funds out of the senate.

no, he's telling you unemployment is increasing again to 8.3% and remains at record levels for record lengths of time. you fail to grasp that we are in the obama job depression.

We could not take Obama"s word on where he was born, but we should take your word that you paid your share of taxes for the past 10 years?

How disappointed do you think Romney was that job growth improved? The GOP is betting against America. Worse yet, they have been actively trying to make things worse to fulfill their actually stated #1 goal of "making Barack Obama a one term president". And they are willing to sell all of us down the river to make it happen. I shudder to think of the consequences if the voters reward that behavior.

Poor Romney- he has allowed team Obama to define him and it is sticking. That is the kiss of death in politics. Mittens will never be president.

Wanna talk about "moral failure"? Let's see the tax returns and just how much Mittens used the loopholes and deductions that are only available to the rich, and which the rich paid Congress to write into the tax laws and which have RESULTED IN 40+ YEARS OF REDISTRIBUTION OF THE NATION'S WEALTH TO THE ALREADY EXTREMELY WEALTHY.

Derpanomics: the very definition of moral failure.

Though I am a moderate, I have to quote President Reagan, an icon of Romney's and the Republican Party.......remember his famous motto to the Soviets, "Trust, but verify!" Mr. Romney, I want too trust you, but feel I must get all the facts on your taxes and other personal characteristics verified with actual evidence/proof. At this point, you aren't complying with your idol, so I am going Forward with Obama 2012!!!

The real travesty to it all, he believes he's above reproach on the matter. He's above all, because he's among the chosen few. The 1% that will do anything to become a person of great power. If given the chance, he'll lord it over all of us.

Mr. Romney, by his own admission, has not paid his 2011 taxes. He needs to correct that in his statements.

We all know American families are hurting which is why food kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters are so busy. We also know that those who could afford to help are putting their money into PAC/s promoting Mr. Romney.

If those of us who are raising funds and offering assistance had a small infusion of those millions just think how much better off we all would be.

"We could not take Obama"s word on where he was born, but we should take your word that you paid your share of taxes for the past 10 years?"

He's white and Republican and pretending to be Christian, duh. Of course the white and republican will trust him while inventing psychotic conspiracy theories about a black POTUS. Meanwhile, as he blabbers about "moral failure," he continues to support whole-hog Paul Ryan's Pathology of Plutocracy budget plan that Catholic church called blatant "social darwinism" and a failure to live up to the responsibilities of caring for the poor and less fortunate.

Call it whatever you want. It doesn't change the FACT that it's a direct result of GOP/Teatroll derpanomics and their abhorrent behavior in Congress the past 8 years 12 years.
