(CNN) – President Barack Obama's re-election effort raised $75 million last month, his campaign announced Monday on Twitter.
The July haul falls far behind Republican rival Mitt Romney's fund-raising team, which raked in more than $101 million–the third month in a row in which Romney outraised Obama.
(CNN) - President Barack Obama's re-election campaign hit Mitt Romney over his position on abortion and contraception in a new ad this weekend, framing the Republican's stance as old-fashioned.

(CNN) – The Republican National Committee chairman was far from apologetic Monday morning when asked if he took back a recent comment calling Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid a "dirty liar."

New York (CNNMoney) - If lawmakers cannot agree on how to address the pending "fiscal cliff," $7 trillion worth of tax increases and spending cuts will begin to go into effect in January.

CNN: Graham, Gibbs tangle over Reid's allegations
Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham strongly took issue with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's accusations that Mitt Romney has not paid taxes in 10 years, saying Sunday that the Democratic leader was "lying."
