VP contenders in the field for Romney

Washington (CNN) - Two top vice presidential contenders will campaign for Mitt Romney in battleground states, two Republican sources said.

Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio will go to Colorado on Wednesday, appearing as President Barack Obama arrives in the state for a two-day campaign swing. The Portman event is part of the Romney campaign "bracketing" strategy to counter Obama's message on trips.

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will campaign in Michigan on Wednesday and Thursday. Pawlenty will also go to New Hampshire Saturday for a state Republican Party event.

Great. The architect of Bush's failed economic polices and Kasper Milquetoast. I suppose this is the best Mittens can come up with given the dismal field of potential running mates. I can not wait for November. Biden will chew them up in the debates, no matter who Romney picks.

  2. IF YOU SIGNED GROVER'S PLEDGE, YOU ARE A TRAITOR TO THE U.S.

A former Bush agent of destruction and a former governor who left his state with piles of debt. Sound like the ideal candidates for a republican VP selection.

Did The Government Bail Out Romney’s Bain Capital?

Republican Senate nominee Mitt Romney’s rescue of a business consulting firm was achieved in part by convincing the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to forgive roughly $ 10 million of the company’s debts, according to sources close to the deal and federal records obtained by The Boston Globe. The way the company was rescued was with a federal bailout of $10 million. “The rest of us had to absorb the loss … Romney? He and others made $4 million in this deal. … Mitt Romney: Maybe he’s just against government when it helps working men and women. But this flip flopping moderate who also claimed to be progressive was for and against Obama’s wall street bailouts

The facts of the Bain & Co. turnaround are a little more complicated, but a Boston Globe report from 1994 confirms that Bain saw several million dollars in loans forgiven by the FDIC.

Whoever Govenor Romney picks will be head and shoulders above the walking gaff machine in office now. Where is the Hope and Change Obama promised? All he has delivered is the typical tax and spend, class warfare, race card devisive politics we come to expect from liberals.

It really doesn't matter who Willard picks. The GOP convinced half the country that President Obama was a foreign born Muslim. They never let up on him releasing his birth certificate until he did and now 99% still believe it's fake. But these same people claim Willard should not release his taxes like all other candidates?? This is the beginning of the end for Willard. He will get the 1% vote and of course the redneck vote, but smart independents are not going to vote for someone that refuses to do the same thing all other candidates, starting with his father, have done. Willard is making this very easy..... The fact that this is the one thing he stands firm on says a lot..

I hear that Romney hasn't paid ANY taxes in ten years and that that is the reason why he will not release his tax returns. I suppose if he had nothing to hide and did pay his taxes, he could do as his father and EVERY other presidential candidate since, and release his tax returns. So it appears true that Romney hasn't paid taxes in ten years.
