(CNN) - After a morning campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa, Mitt Romney will head to New Jersey to attend a finance reception. Meanwhile, two possible Romney surrogates thought to be at the top of the the presumptive GOP nominee's shortlist will also be on the trail–Ohio Sen. Rob Portman will campaign for Romney in Colorado while former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will be in Michigan.
President Barack Obama will also campaign on Wednesday, kicking off a two-day, four-city swing through Colorado, where he will make stops in Denver and Grand Junction to deliver remarks on middle-class security.

7:25 p.m. ET - Obama will speak to supporters at a campaign event in Grand Junction, Colorado.
9:05 p.m. ET - Portman will attend a Romney Victory office opening in Pueblo, Colorado.
