Washington (CNN) - Like a lion trained on its prey, conservatives are tracking certain Republican nominee Mitt Romney for any gaffe, policy shift or other signal that shows he is really the moderate they fear instead of the right-wing ideologue they want.
The continuing distrust of Romney by some on the political right will be one of the most interesting dynamics at the upcoming Republican National Convention that will formally anoint the former Massachusetts governor as President Barack Obama's challenger in November.

Talk about wishful thinking on the part of the lefties! There is NO doubt in anybodys mind that Romney is head and shoulders above the worse President in the history of the USA, Barack Hussein Obama.
When you have the likes of Ed Rollins and George Will saying you should release your taxes, you may want to listen. Also, that evangelical wing of the republican party will not vote for a Mormon even if they don't like the President. Remember the primary when they were calling it a cult? 60% of the GOP did not want Romney. They literally were looking at what? 5 other candidates? 5 other candidates before they finally settled on Romney. Caine, Perry, Santorum, Gingrich, etc. I don't doubt that the GOP is listless.
Romney may be a moderate. It's hard to tell. Mostly he's an opportunistic chameleon who has taken multiple positions on every major issue of the day; whatever benefits him most politically at the time. I suspect he is a sociopath as it relates to having any kind of ideological compass; the businessman who detaches himself from right and wrong because he is paid by the shareholders to maximize profits – period. He brings that dispassionate pursuit of his political goals to the public square. He wants to be President and he will do or say anything to achieve that goal, which is all the reason we need NOT to vote for him.
Oh no, he is severely conversative, remember? The worst general election candidate in 50 years. Thank you GOP, for making it easier fro Mr. Obama to win.

I'll bet anyone $10,000 that Mitt Romney is not going to release his 2011 return. It is due in mid-October, which is stupid and demonstrates a lack of planning. It is a safe bet that Romney will try to weasel his way out of releasing any more information than what he has already released.

I live and work in the most GOP populated place and business in the country and I don't hear doubts. I hear from most people they realize that Romney has the skill set and experience to turn this boat around. I also hear daily multiple times what a disaster Obama has been and the untold damage he will do if re-elected. There is so much distrust of Obama from his directives in office that it is going to turn out a lot of people to vote. My boss is a bundler and is having no issues getting money.
He's already gaffed twice in the last 2 days.....his spokesperson goofed yesterday giving Obama ammo about ROmney Care, and today she says Flip is not OK with the BSA banning gays

Mitt Romney's shifting stances on issues are easily explained. He says what he thinks he audiences want to hear because he's the consumate salesman. And, he's not a statesman.
Now that Mittens has become a birther, a varmint shooter, a tax evader, a money launderer, a jobs outsourcer, a foreign account holder, an anti women's rights advocate, against police and firemen, wants fewer teachers, class warfare leader, he epitomizes the GOP.

Not to burst you bubble, but Obama leads in 8 of the 9 swing states and only trails in Colorado, with an overall lead nationally by almost four points. Get your facts straight.
Oh, they'll vote for him. He'll still lose. Which is just as well. Romney isn't up for the Presidential fights which would be directed against him that will absolutely come from his own party were he to waiver even one iota from the political agenda of the Limbaugh's, the Hannity's, and the Beck's. He's barely able to run a half competent campaign as it is without the truly mixed up factions in his own party dragging from one corner of absurd to the next. This past year hasn't been a "come together" moment for GOPerville. It's going take someone much deeper than Mitt Romney to bring his party together any time soon.

How about the RCP average of polls (RCP has a somewhat conservative bias, just look at the articles they choose to link to – about 2/3 conservative) which has Obama up by 3.4%, and that includes Rasmussen, which is consistantly about 5% off the other polls in the GOP's favor. I guess someone needs to take their own advice, eh?

Of course these disasters are undocumented or even badly defined. Obama is the "worst" President ever (Even after Bush? really?) But you can never say why or how. The only thing you ever point to is the massive deficit/... that Bush left to carry over to pay. (Thanks Bush!) You guys got nuthin. Nuthin but more debt. More lies.
