(CNN) - Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin - who Mitt Romney's campaign announced Saturday as his running mate - has had a bit of "bromance" with Romney on the campaign trail this year.
Check out the slide show and the below links to take a look back at their relationship, as well as a short-lived GOP push for Ryan to launch his own presidential bid last year.

It might be a good guess, but would have thought that romney does not neeed a budget specialist but rather someone on the diplmatic, foreign relations side to compliment his "business esperience!?"
Dspite all you pressures as media I think it will wait until the convention as usual.

Ryan is a good honest guy looking out for the future of this country for his kids and ours. Excellent choice.
Who is Paul Ryan of Wisconsin?
Seniors and those who will be soon.... watch you're wallets! They still want U to finance the recovery and rich guy raises!
The VP spot is kinda funny. The guy running for president spends all that money in campaign funds and then out of the blue the VP who hasn't spent a dime gets the pick. And then the guy running for president continues to fund the campaign and all the VP candidate does is show up. He don't pay out anything. BUT if something happens to the person who becomes president he gets the job.
THis is goood – another extremist to insure a smoooth ride into obliviion for Mr. Romney's presidential effforts.
Paul Ryan's economic plans would be clearly a preposterous for the middle class America. I call his plans voodoo economics. Nonetheless, these two guys have no chance to make their connections with majority Americans. So, it won't matter.
The choice of Paul Ryan is not only right put brilliant. May be now the country has a chance to get back on track.
Romney & Ryan... sounds like a comedy team.
Medicare is Doom with Paul Ryan
Maybe a look back is not really what they want about browman. Look how that has worked for the I said/I didn't say, I did/I didn't do, I lied then/I am lying now candidate of the teapublikkkan party.
