Palin will not speak at GOP convention

(CNN) - Sarah Palin will not speak at the 2012 Republican National Convention, the party's 2008 vice presidential nominee said in a statement Sunday.

"This year is a good opportunity for other voices to speak at the convention and I'm excited to hear them," Palin wrote. "As I've repeatedly said, I support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in their efforts to replace President Obama at the ballot box, and I intend to focus on grassroots efforts to rally Independents and the GOP base to elect Senate and House members so a wise Congress is ready to work with our new President to get our country back on the right path."

In her statement, Palin did not say whether or not she would attend the convention, which is to take place in Tampa at the end of this month.

Palin spoke at the 2008 convention as the vice presidential nominee, and charged in her Sunday statement that her "predictions made about the very unqualified and inexperienced community organizer's plans to 'fundamentally transform' our country are unfortunately coming true."

Mitt Romney's campaign and the Republican National Convention have unveiled a partial list of the convention's primetime speakers and have promised to release more, as some major names - including Palin's - have been absent.

The announcement comes the day after Romney announced House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan as his running mate.

"...her "predictions made about the very unqualified and inexperienced community organizer's plans to 'fundamentally transform' our country are unfortunately coming true." –Palin. Given her party's unrelenting opposition to anything that might help the economy (because it would Obama look good), it's a wonder the Dow has almost doubled, house prices are up, unemployment has dropped for thirty straight months, and corporations are making record profits. But, then, he passed the Affordable Care Act, which helps millions of people obtain health insurance, and that can't be good.

What is it with Republican presidential candidates and their pics for VP? Seriously, Paul Ryan's baggage is just and big as Sarah's. End result? Another Democratic Electorial College landslide. Take two red states (FL and AZ) and turn them blue just to win WI? Seriously? Who pays these people to think? This was an opportunity to win the Presidency that was just totally squandered.

I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that she was offered a non-primetime slot, but her ego is so inflated that she said primetime or nothing. So the campaign said, "O.K. Nothing then." LMAO

"This year is a good opportunity for other voices to speak at the convention and I'm excited to hear them," Palin wrote.
In words written on her palm to remember: Note to self, even the GOP doesn't want to hear my psycho-babble anymore!
