(CNN) - U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is responding well to treatment for bipolar depression, the Mayo Clinic said Monday.
The Rochester, Minn.-based clinic said Jackson is regaining his strength but offered no further information on his condition.

I am glad he is getting the help he needs so many are dealing with this disease in silence hope it brings awareness to this issue.

There are drugs that can handle that, if he takes them properly Any imbalance of the combination can send him back in depression. It's a chemical imbalance in the system - it is NOT an emotional or mental illness.
Get your facts straight folks. Mostly white people suffer from it, so this is fairly rare.
