New York (CNNMoney) - Federal workers' jobs will be under fire if Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan win November's election.
Both Romney and Ryan have made it clear that they think federal workers are one reason the nation's deficit is too high, and have talked about shrinking payrolls and cutting benefits.

I say they need to start with the GSA department. Better yet, replace the current GSA employees with those standing in the unemployment line so at least the unemployed can enjoy some of those goodies the GSA employees have been enjoying for so long.

How about they start with the Senate and House. Overpaid party of NO don't deserve a dime, on a 5 week vacation on the Americans money. 31 times they go after ACA to repeal it, and jobs are needed and yet the middle finger is always held up to the American people.

The government was for the people by the people not for the government by the government for the government. The jobs that would be lost is due to the overspending and additional jobs the elected people created to pay for their election promises they made.
Look at Europe and that is where we will be at in just a few years from now if we don't cut spending and the government should be one of the first places to start including all elected officials.
We should do away with matching funds too what a waste that would be a small start but you have to start some where.
How arrogant! Who are they to judge federal workers? Most of Ryan's career has been in federal government and I'm sure he never questioned the amount of money he earned. Perhaps it is him who is over paid.

How will we EVER get by without sending all those busy GSA employees to Las Vegas for "conferences" and "education"?!!! Yes i've been to the po lately....I work there! just don't understand how cutting my pay and benfits will help strengthen the economy...yeah they'll create new jobs at 4.25 an hr no benefits..Only a fool thinks R & R is for the middle class. this race is about color not black white or brown. it's green!
Will anyone ever admit that one of the major reasons for the deficit is the fact that Bush/Cheney got the country involved in two unnecessary wars with no tax increase to pay for them? The only people that benefited from the wars was Cheney's old company. ( sure he probably got a kickback ) Believe the U.S. spends more on the military than all the other countries combined. Whats that tell you. Sophistcated weapons don't seem to be able to conquer the Taliban or other types of insurgents. Lets remember people, didn't win in Korea, didn't win in Vietnam, Iraq and Afganistan but we've sure spent alot of money. Lets start the cuts with members of congress. No more golden health plans, retirement packages and maybe they could actually work as much in a year as the rest of us.
Funny how Mittens 'n' Munster and the GOP gripe about how federal workers are paid too much, yet defend CEO and Wall Street compensation, saying that you have to pay for the best and the brightest and incentivize folks to do their best.
Hypocrites! It's all about the GOP's desire to privatize everything, regardless of the fact that profit is not a good motive when it comes to infrastructure and other governmental responsibilities.

I know a LOT of federal workers who work their behinds off every day and sometimes on weekends!
You know who doesn't work and get more days off than anyone else except Europeans? Members of congress.
Workers get the Monday holiday but congress gets takes the whole week. Most fed works take one week of vacation while congress takes off the whole month of August!
Gee, what will happen to unemployment when all these federal workers are laid off? It will go up.
And the economy? It will tank because that many fewer wage earners will be spending their money on goods and services.

Hey Canuck, When we need military advice from you we will beat it out of you. Now don't be upset if we kindly ask Harper for help in doing so as traditions are hard to break. : ) Seriously, we can strategically cut but to wholesale gut the military as was done under Jimmy Carter just led to larger expense later to rebuild from scratch. We will always be a target in the world. Especially here in Arizona with the large surplus of lily white Canadian legs prancing about.

It's about the RED ink... Spending $1.5 TRILLION more than you take in EVERY YEAR is pure insanity. The only way the federal government gets away with it is because they own the printing presses. Look at the Democrat controlled California that tetters on the verge of bankruptcy and some of the cities and towns there that are declaring bankruptcy.
